Just read on Fox News that Lois Learner, the IRS conservative group preventer, was paid $43,000 per year bonus on top of her big salary. It appears such bonuses are give all of the time to encourage people not to retire or go to private sector jobs. High classification jobs in the federal government are high paying gravy jobs -- shameless to add on more gravy.

Sounds like a pretty good reason to give bonuses to people you want to keep to me.
-
I honestly don't think that is a very big bonus considering what her base probably is.
Gonna win 'em all!

Gravy is delicious. See B&G thread

You would NOT be happy about private sector bonuses look like reno.

It's weird how libs don't see the difference between private companies and government.

Amen, Brother. Businesses reward people who help them make money. Government sets a budget, and should not exceed their budgeted expenditures. Giving bonuses have to wreck a budget. FAA gave out millions of bonuses. So did the VA to thousands of of bumble butts. If you do not like your base govt pay, quit. Lerner was making $177,000 per year base.

how do you get people to work in the public sector if you don't pay them competitively?
-
Lois Lerner should be in jail for contempt. Just like a Big Bank Fat Cat who refused to testify after being subpoenaed.

My experience is that public sector people generally can't hack it in the private sector, so it works out pretty well.

that sounds like a fantastic way to run government efficiently

Haven't you heard, big bonuses are evil and greedy. Everyone should do what's best for society above themselves.
(Basically, you're being a shitty communist)

Hypocrits the Obama's are the supreme gravy hogs. Both flew to California for appearances on a TV TALK shows on the same day, each on a different plane. So much for saving money for the poor.

This thread makes me want biscuits and gravy.
