Title: The Texas game
Post by: bones129 on February 05, 2015, 11:40:45 PM
Horns coming in for the "blackout" game. Do we own Texas again?

Sadly, I don't think so. This slide may not have an end.

TX lost some think like the last 4 of 5 games.  They see how lame we are now and want some recovery.

Is it really going to be a blackout if fans don't show?  Will it be more of a digi-camo black/purple out?

Rick Barnes is awful.

Kansas State is supremely awful.

Horns win by 9

I think both fan bases would be happy with the loser of this game getting fired

Can't believe I'm saying this, but Barnes deserves to go more than Weber. It's a joke that he won conference coach of the year last season.

Whats sad is that oscar is going to destroy everything great about KSU basketball.  He is going to take "we own Texas" from us.  Its not because Texas took it, only because oscar gave it away.

Sounds like Texas is facing its fair share of adversity, but nowhere even close to ours.  There's a lot of adversity out there.

Is concussion the Texas equivalent to eye hernia? :dunno:

Ok, with Foster out, who is our go to guy Saturday?

This I know.  We will try and pound it down to Gipson, not realizing that TX is taller than us all over.  Gipson will not realize he is getting double/triple teamed, and turn it over.  Or, he tries to go up against somebody taller than him and get rejected.
Westicles will continue to be an enigma, and Thomas will turn it over, and Hurt will hang around the 3pt line.

This game will be extremely ugly, and TX wins the ugly contest with a 58-52 win.

I think Pipe is right.... I am slightly concerned that he may have the scoring too high.

Black seems to be a fitting way to dress for this game.

I think oscar should have a funeral for Self and Martin.

And that was the best all-Brucecruit squad.  That was always my favorite part.  His best team set records for offensive futility.

We need an alternate form of entertainment this afternoon.  Like dung beetle races at aggieville.  Watching them little bugs go down a racetrack would be like watching Jevon and Nigel.

if felix really is out, they're missing a lot more than we are.  and they were just as bad to start with.  kstate should have a great chance to win.

My goodness, the rationale for him not playing can't make any sense on this team with few scorers.

I wish oscar wouldn't be so stubborn about playing man defense. I definitely think there are certain lineups this year where a zone would be much more effective. I mean, I don't want us to start running it if we haven't worked on it (which it certainly looks like we haven't), but it'd be nice if we worked on it enough that it was an option.

Low 2pt FG% is a brutal way to get beat.

Yeah, you are 7-30 on 2s. Texas is blocking every shot in the paint. Gip is 0-6.

Let's go through him to tie this thing.

Infuriating.   We could literally have set up any shot for a tie or win, any rough ridin'  shot at all, and we go with the guy who looked the most outmatched at his position the entire game.
