The problem with these tests is that most everyone else, other than me, is a huge rough ridin' liar, and thus the results are basically who you would like to be rather than who you are.

"ENTPs are also quick to spot a kindred spirit, and good at acquiring friends of similar temperament and interests.

ENTPs may sometimes give the impression of being largely oblivious to the rest of humanity except as an audience: good, bad, or potential. In general this is unfair – but it can be difficult to get an ENTP’s attention when they’re not immediately aware of you, especially for an Introvert."

The descriptions from spracne's website don't fit for me at all.  That test was bullshit if they're accurate.

Quote
INTPs are relatively easy-going and amenable to almost anything until their principles are violated, about which they may become outspoken and inflexible. They prefer to return, however, to a reserved albeit benign ambiance, not wishing to make spectacles of themselves.

A major concern for INTPs is the haunting sense of impending failure. They spend considerable time second-guessing themselves. The open-endedness (from Perceiving) conjoined with the need for competence (NT) is expressed in a sense that one's conclusion may well be met by an equally plausible alternative solution, and that, after all, one may very well have overlooked some critical bit of data. An INTP arguing a point may very well be trying to convince himself as much as his opposition. In this way INTPs are markedly different from INTJs, who are much more confident in their competence and willing to act on their convictions.

Way off for mr bread.
Title: Re: What's your Myers-Briggs personality type?

"Clever" is the word that perhaps describes ENTPs best. The professor who juggles half a dozen ideas for research papers and grant proposals in his mind while giving a highly entertaining lecture on an abstruse subject is a classic example of the type. So is the stand-up comedian whose lampoons are both funny and incisively accurate.

ENTPs are usually verbally as well as cerebrally quick, and generally love to argue--both for its own sake, and to show off their debating skills. ENTPs tend to have a perverse sense of humor as well, and enjoy playing devil's advocate. This sometimes confuses, even angers, those who don't understand or accept the concept of argument as a sport.

ENTPs are as innovative and ingenious at problem-solving as they are at verbal gymnastics; on occasion, however, they manage to outsmart themselves. ENTPs can be prone to "sharp practice" – especially cutting corners without regard to the rules if it's expedient – or, their juggling acts may simply be so over-ambitious they collapse.

Both at work and at home, ENTPs are very fond of "toys" -- physical or intellectual, the more sophisticated the better. Once these have been "solved" or become too familiar, however, they’ll be replaced with new ones.

ENTPs are basically optimists, but in spite of this (perhaps because of it?), they can become petulant about small setbacks and inconveniences. (Major setbacks they regard as challenges, and tackle with determination.) ENTPs have little patience with those they consider wrongheaded or unintelligent, and show little restraint in demonstrating this. In general, however, they are genial, even charming, when not being harassed by life.

In terms of their relationships with others, ENTPs are capable of bonding very closely and suddenly with their loved ones. Some appear deceptively offhand with their nearest and dearest; others are so demonstrative that they succeed in shocking co-workers who've only seen their professional side. ENTPs are also quick to spot a kindred spirit, and good at acquiring friends of similar temperament and interests.

ENTPs may sometimes give the impression of being largely oblivious to the rest of humanity except as an audience: good, bad, or potential. In general this is unfair – but it can be difficult to get an ENTP’s attention when they’re not immediately aware of you, especially for an Introvert.

The best approach in communicating with an ENTP is to be straightforward. No games – they’ll win. No "pulling rank" – they’ll just want to put you in your place. No apologies – you’ll undermine yourself. Try "I need/want to talk to you."

I must have lied about the socializing stuff.  This is it.  I mean my word.

@Bread, I think KK, puni, HerrSonntag and I would be willing to accept you as an honorary member.  Also, there's this from personalitypage.com:

"The ENTP personality type is sometimes referred to the "Lawyer" type. The ENTP "lawyer" quickly and accurately understands a situation, and objectively and logically acts upon the situation. Their Thinking side makes their actions and decisions based on an objective list of rules or laws. If the ENTP was defending someone who had actually committed a crime, they are likely to take advantage of quirks in the law that will get their client off the hook. If they were to actually win the case, they would see their actions as completely fair and proper to the situation, because their actions were lawful. The guilt or innocence of their client would not be as relevant. If this type of reasoning goes uncompletely [Spracne note: lol] unchecked by the ENTP, it could result in a character that is perceived by others as unethical or even dishonest. The ENTP, who does not naturally consider the more personal or human element in decision making, should take care to notice the subjective, personal side of situations. This is a potential problem are for ENTPs. Although their logical abilities lend strength and purpose to the ENTP, they may also isolate them from their feelings and from other people."

intps basically have a personality where they know they are better than everyone else but don't care enough and would get too bored trying to explain why so they just start thinking about somehting different.

Their description basically says that they're pussies.  That's how I knew I wasn't one.  Like I know this thing, but I'm too much of a coward to speak up.  #harmony #goalongtogetalong #pussies

without INTP's we wouldn't have calculus, e=mc2, the theory of evolution or the 2 & 5 dollar bills. I think it's pretty obvious which is the best here.

stick with what the test gives you and if you dont like it then sorry your personality sucks.

An INTJ also invented calculus.

Quote
He is credited as the father of analytical geometry, the bridge between algebra and geometry, crucial to the discovery of infinitesimal calculus and analysis. Descartes was also one of the key figures in the scientific revolution and has been described as an example of genius.

it could be said Newton would have never amounted to anything without the groundwork that was laid by an INTP.

After the interview he sent me his linkedin which quickly showed he lied about his current job during our conversation. (Titles matter)

i would have assumed he had forgotten his actual title and would have upgraded him in my mind for knowing that titles don't matter.

the actual title was "intern" :-/

ESTJ, but very close to ISTJ (at least what the test results I was told).

ESTJ, close to IITJ

ESTJ

ESTJ

sup, studs?

ESTJ
Extravert(22%)  Sensing(12%)  Thinking(1%)  Judging(44%)

You have slight preference of Extraversion over Introversion (22%)
You have slight preference of Sensing over Intuition (12%)
You have marginal or no preference of Thinking over Feeling (1%)
You have moderate preference of Judging over Perceiving (44%)

So my wife didn't believe me when I said I was an ESTJ. She made me take the one that was going around her work.
