Title: The sky is falling.
Post by: Dirty Mike on January 31, 2015, 03:06:18 PM
We played like absolute crap, but we should have been blown out by 20+. We are riding the express train to struggletown. I think we miss all tournaments and have at least 2 players transfer. This season has been a joke. Screw oscar, screw these players, I have officially given up.

Dirty Mike and the boys.

Losing by 11 in Lawrence would be a positive for any K-State season in the past 10 years

This loss doesn't sting at all. Thanks oscar?

Not really any different than any other year in Lawrence really.

The losses I expect us to win are the ones that sting for me. Like Long Beach State. And Tennessee. And Texas Southern. And Georgia. And West Virginia.

this is the worst ku team in 11 years and Bill knew he could save his junk d and doubling of gip for the game at the Bram.

If we convert half our layups we win walking away. The players need to play harder

05-06 was some pretty hot garbage.

Then serve me that hot garbage on a silver platter. That team was a bunch of young studs.

Brandon Rush is definitely a stud.  I'm not sure who you are talking about beyond that though.  Julian Wright got drafted in the first round so that's something I guess.

There were five NBA players on that roster, plus Russell Robinson. That group was the backbone of the team that would win a national title two seasons later. They finished the regular season 12-1 with the lone loss at #8 Texas, which they avenged emphatically to win the P66.

If you watched basketball at the time, you knew that group was going to do even greater things in the future.

Like I said. A bunch of studs.

Lost to wooldridge at Allen,  tied for worst ncaa tournament seed in bill self era, bounced in first round by Bradley.  I mean if you want to say that the young players on that team would eventually be good that's fine I guess.  There are more than 5 NBA players on this years team FWIW.

My argument was against the hot garbage comment, which was and is patently false. 2005-06 is most definitely in the running for worst Self season, but that only shows how damn good they've been.
