I bet he keeps those "so called experts" in check.
-
Makes sense with NASA in Houston. One of these days he is going to peeve Obama or MOOOchelle and launch them into orbit. Biden is a dud and he would just flop around on the ground if he's ticked off. Also I would not be suprised if Cruz is an alien.

Hmm

Resident Alien! Omg, rofl!
Don't you dweeb know that B.O. cancelled nasa?
-
NASA should have unlimited funds
-
Remember when we had Americans walking on the moon? I don't either. It would be neat to do cool stuff like that again, instead of paying billions to launch Americans on Russian rockets into LEO to study "global warming."
-
SpaceX, though. Private industry is taking care of that now, you lib.

I think we're a long way off from interplanatery travel being commercially viable. I want cool stuff now. I'd rather the government spend more money on that than, say, food stamps.
-
SpaceX is working on Mars right now. Also, they just tested a method of saving the first stage portion of a rocket to cut costs through repeat use. The test failed, but was pretty close to succeeding. Supposedly, that will cut $55M per rocket launch.
These are the guys who will get you what you want and when you want it. Maybe subsidize the living crap out of them?

Sounds like Ted has the right idea for NASA.

In his statement, which was titled "Focus NASA on Its Core Mission: Exploring Space, and More of It," Cruz said he wants to expand the US space program.
Due to his conservative positions on budgeting and climate change, some observers speculated Cruz would attempt to cut funding to NASA in his new role. However, in his statement Cruz repeatedly insisted he wants to expand America's space-exploration efforts.
-
Of course he wants to expand it, he is now the chairman.
-
Yeah, in his home state. Pretty great fav, whoevs appted him.

Awesome. But I hope Cruz realizes we also have to pay for it. I wish he had said something along the lines of "We need to get back to doing more 'America - eff Yeah' things and spending less money on dumb crap like studying global warming and doling out food stamps."

He is actually dumb enough to say that.
-
NASA has been used as a pawn in the government's global warming power and money grab. I think he just wants to get them back on the exploration track.

Obama's library on an astroid - sounds good to me.

You are a ridiculous person
-
I don't care who is running it as long as we start increasing its budget and start launching some rockets into space.
Full disclosure, I'm wearing a NASA tshirt right now.
-
It's just a shame that this administration only wants NASA to advance the administrations environmental agenda.
-
that is a shame
-
It's pretty terrible that the libtards have politicized something that was once as cool as nasa. I remember asking my parent to go to space camp when I was a kid (we went to the cosmosphere instead :frown:)
-
pretty terrible indeed
-
What's even more sad is how lib has just pretty much tapped out.

My tapped out comment still stands. Facts is, well, facts. Sorry

known agendite dax just can't take a lib agreeing with him
next agendite dax thread: nasa should be abolished

next agendite dax thread: nasa should be abolished
It was more of general observation that had to be some place, so why not here?
-
you are a parody of yourself at this point dax, there is no point even acknowledging you anymore
-
except it's cute when you get your old agendite feathers ruffled
wonder what your next agendite talking point will be :excited:
-
maybe a nightly bill o'reilly recap? i understand he does very well with the older demographic

He has nothing to work with. :frown:

Letting people starve on earth while paying billions for trial and error doesn't seem like the right thing to do.
A balanced approach will do, and heck you could probably increase both if we got out of a country or two.

:shakesfist:

Its too early....but is this serious, I mean serious, serious?
Come on dude, don't you hold a college degree?

Scaling back food stamps and other entitlements is "letting people starve." :eyeroll:
-
Why on earth would anyone be against spending money to study global warming?
-
I mean, wouldn't both sides of that argument be for better and more meaningful data?
-
NASA is currently studying how to efficiently feed ppl on super long range space missions(mars). You don't think that could be helpful in feeding the hungry?

Until we fix our trade policy and value workers instead of stock trades then it's not helping.

Why on earth would anyone be against studying global warming?
I don't think anyone on earth is against studying global warming.
-
Why on earth would anyone be against spending money to study global warming?
You don't think it's odd that the one agency charged with studying everything except the globe, has been repurposed to study global warming. I feel like we already have a "weather department".
-
Democrat in the inner circle of any issue whip people up into a frenzy until they demand goverment action and then use the federal government as a cash cow or a platform for their socialist religion.;
-
I mean, wouldn't both sides of that argument be for better and more meaningful data?
I think it is because the data from space might be showing more heat entering earth than leaving, while our thermometers here planetside are showing ice cold temps, thus disproving greenhouse gas theory as well as all of that first law of thermodynamics hullabaloo.
