Dana Dimel and Del Miller:

-Worst designed "Trick Plays"

-Situational misuse of the Wildcat Formation

-Worst executed poorly designed "Trick Plays"

Phil Bennet is still laughing his ass off at a Gronk sweep pass

I don't think I have ever been more pissed at an assistant coach than I am this morning at Dana.

That play that required a pass from Gronk to Lockett with Tyler being the only guy running a route is a joke. He's been double covered for two damn years. If you're going to run that the pass needs to be designed to go to the tight end, or Cook, or Burton.

It's shocking to look around the college football landscape and see what he drew up.  That's clown crap

I give them credit for a couple of really nice wrinkles within the context of our normal offense that produced big.

But the red zone play calling, the timing of bad trick plays and the over use of the run/pass option plays, coupled with the Red Zone over use of the Wildcat, were killers.

the thing that killed the offense was the QB power run game that we tried to run on 3 separate occasions on 3rd and 5 or less.  It was mind blowing how shitty those calls were.  we stopped our offense more than Baylor did.

In a nutshell it's pretty much exactly what we've always gotten and likely will always get from Dimel-Miller.

Maybe I fit the definition of insanity for ever bringing it up, because they're clearly never going to change, and Snyder will never get rid of them.

The desperation trick plays are a LHC Bill Snyder calling card when he's talking by a couple scores in a big game. They never work.

We have a total of about ten plays

Yes, this was my biggest frustration from the offense last night. Especially early in the game we needed to be thinking of finding ways to keep drives alive to score and those QB runs were bad.

Overall I understand the complaints about our offense, but they've managed to roll out a top 20 offense consistently since their return.

Great point _fan, which pretty much melds with the fact that if you're happy with 9-3 and 8-4's (which is pretty good) most of the time, we have the staff who can coach up their DITR's to produce those kinds of seasons consistently.

But, don't count on many Dr. Peppers going forward.

First time it happened I was pretty p.o.ed.  The next I went damn near ape$hit.  The final time I just about cried.

And yes, Snyder's trickery is very ridiculous. Most people use gimmick plays set up by other stuff they do all the time. I mean this was one thing Prince was very good at, but Bill's (Dana's) often seem like random tricks picked from a hat.

The one that hurt the worst was the third down right before half.   Senior QB and WRs,  and we try another QB run, punt it away and go down by 2 scores at half

I wonder if our trick plays are drawn up on napkins and if those napkins are saved?     The K-State Athletic Hall-of-Fame display of "Napkins that impacted K-State sports history" could be a display of interactive sights, sounds and wonder.

Which speaks to Jake and his empty numbers; the coaches don't trust him but we're supposed to consider him as a great KSU qb?

I liked the one that went on a reverse to jake from the wildcat. But I don't know anything about football and just yell when I see kind of cool stuff.

Frustrating thing was it was another big game against a team with very good athletes that we were in, and had chances to pretty much take that thing to the wire, and the play calling at crucial times just killed us.

But, I've seen this movie before.
