I am getting sick and tired of seeing both point guards on the floor together.
Also sick of seeing Gip play limited minutes because he refuses to play Gip and Hurt together. Gip has 0 FGAs because our ball movement is dreadful and Gip has played about half of the game. Hurt May be a liability on D at times but he can score and he is our best defensive rebounder by a ways
Westicles has been the worst player on the court today, but I have no idea why he refuses to play Edwards at the 2 and plays both Jevon and Nigel together. Our ball movement is just terrible and our PGs are such liabilities against zones. Too much dribbling, poor passing decisions or they force the ball by dribbling into the D and make wild passes
These combinations of players he has out there on the floor are not getting the job done.
-
Jevon needs to go away. He is dreadful on offense. His decision making is awful. Wes Westicles has regressed as well which is unfortunate because Hopper is terrible.
-
Hurt can't guard a statue
-
I hate this. So much.
-
Boring, sloppy, and losery.
-
I was happy when Nigel subbed for Edwards when Jevon was in.
-
Edwards needs to keep Bolden company.
-
I have no words for this.
-
I want to be mad at Nino for being awful at defense, but honestly he's the least of our problems right now.
-
Bald ref has probably called 14 fouls on kstate and zero in ut
-
Jevon was litterally 1 on 4 in that press break and couldn't find a open player to pass to. I don't even
-
Jevon is playing too many minutes, but those who think Nigel should be playing more are out of their mind. Neither one should be playing 20+ minutes. Maybe 13-16 a piece.
Westicles has been up and down. Edwards was awful early, playing better now. But both of these guys have the athletic ability and upside that this team needs. Be nice to see both of them on the floor with Foster a little here and there
-
hurt hurts my eyes ()
-
Westicles has been awful. Jevon has been awful. Foster has been awful. Gip has been awful. hurt has been awful. Our defensive rebounding has been awful.
-
The effort is fleeting. We miss spradling
-
We love watching them oboard just love it.
-

It's now 20 to 0
-
Nino is trying to take over games this year...something has gone horribly wrong.
-
We rough ridin' suck and it makes no sense
-
I haven't felt this low about KSU basketball since Wooly was here.
-
We have 19 turnovers and they're all lazy as eff.
-
This is as wooly as it gets. Learn from mistakes and fire early.
-
New stat for Jevon: attempted turnovers. He's pretty good at turning the ball over, but he's only about 80% with his TO/ATO ratio.
-
First time I've turned off a game in a while
-
You can't take Jevon out, though. He may be our best player today.
-

This is sad because it is true... :Yuck:
-
Wow, Nino is our best defensive player.
-
Anyone who doesn't think Jevon should be playing 30 minutes at the point guard is a rough ridin' Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!). Nigel needs to be a scorer for us first for us then he can be a back up point guard. Wish Edwards could be scorer, he is passive as crap tho. Defense needs to be cleaned up, can't guard a ball screen.
Foster needs to be a scorer first and allow that to open up the rest of his game. Anybody who didn't think this game was going to be a grinder is a Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) he have way to much to fix.
-
Jevon was 4-5Fg, 4-6 FT and 6 Ast. Solid stat line, but his TOs and out of control play is frustrating to watch
Nigel... 1-13 from 3pt last 6 gms. He is not an asset for us on offense right now. Quite the opposite at this point
I want Foster, Gip, NiƱo, Westicles, and Edwards all playing 24-34 min with Foster and Gip seeing the most action. Jevon/hurt/ Nigel...should be playing 35-40% of the game. Malik a handful of minutes and Tre a few min some games too. I know some of you won't agree with all that, but that's just My opinion at this point
-
what has been mixed-nutz deal lately? has just resorted to name calling and being very mean spirited while everyone else is trying to have a nice civilized conversation about basketball

Need to come up with an offensive game plan for those games when Foster is off. Because right now it seems to be make passes of increasing difficulty until the ball is finally stolen.
-
1. Point guards are terrible. Guess oscar is going to play them since he recruited them but still terrible recruits. If this is their ceiling we are doomed.
2. No toughness on this team at all. Frank left and so did this.
3. Gip best post player but trying to win in the Big 12 w/ a 6'7" post that is non athletic is hopeless.
4. 99% of this board was upset with the terrible hire. Don't see any reason for this to change.
5. oscar is the best coach in America at winning w/ other's players.
6. If your not tough and haven't had your nuts put in a vice everyday at practice not sure why we should expect them to play defense?
7. oscar is nice. Who cares? Anyone think that when he walks into locker room after playing soft they are are like "Oh crap"?
8. It's tough playing for tough coaches, i.e. Frank. This is why tough coaches recruit tough players and not cotton balls. Not even sure who our toughest player is? Gip? Maybe by default? Frank recruit.
9. This all falls at the feet of AD!
10. WE SUCK BALLS.
-
At this point we need a radical change in philosophy and I would much rather watch us throw Tre Harris out there and have Edwards/Westicles/Foster muddle through bringing the ball up than watch more of Jevon's terrible decision making.
The coaching has been terrible. It was painful to see how seemingly unprepared we still are for double teams, traps and matchup zones despite the fact that this is the 9th game and every single team has showed zone against us, UMKC played a very similar style and we have not improved at all at responding to it.
-
I'm glad I couldn't watch this game today. Yikes.
-
sys, why does Jevon not bother you?
-
sys, why does Jevon not bother you?
why do you think he should bother me?
if you are fairly convinced that he's horrible, i'd probably just assume i don't know what i'm talking about, if i were you. if i recall correctly, you go to games. i don't and even when i watch a stream i can barely force myself to pay attention. my opinion is not an informed one.
-
With just under 3:00 left, we were shooting 39% eFG with 22 TOs. Its unreal how bad our offense has been in 3 of the 4 losses.
We have 4 weeks to get this somewhat fixed. We have winnable games vs Ga and aTm before Big12 play starts. 12-6 seems way farfetched at this point. I hope Brucy can prove us all wrong and get the most out of this group from Jan-March
-
I watched maybe 15 minutes of this game. Brucesketball is awful
-
Did anyone besides KK watch this game who can tell me if anything interesting happened that I should fire up espn3 for?

I enjoyed a play in which Foster threw a lob on a break and Nino and Edwards each decided to let the other convert it.

i thought it was the most fun game i've seen kstate play this year.
-
Fine.
-
The cutaway of the tennessee weight room was funny.
-
First time I've turned off a game in a while
Hate this the most: 'Cats too painful to watch an entire game. Several games in a row now. Right the ship, oscar.
-
The david caruso reference after hurt's 2nd half travel was awkwardly funny.
-
LOL at tennessee in that last minute.
-
LOL at tennessee in that last minute.
the turnover on the break was the funniest basketball play i've seen in a very long time. the passer's confident attitude, more than anything, made the joke.

K-State Basketball 2015: Someone might make the funniest play you've seen in a very long time.
