I want to totally buy in for this season, so badly.  But, my heart's been broken so many times that I'm a bit reluctant this year.

Most years, I'd completely agree with this thread, but this year I think I'll jump on the bandwagon if we start winning some games and say 'I told you so' if we don't.

Yeah.  I'm going to get on the bandwagon after every win and get back off after every loss.  So, I'm guessing I'll be on the bandwagon about 5/12 of the time.

I'm pretty much on board with the offense.

Not so sure about the defense.

And want to see who steps up as a returner.

I'm anxious to see if that Mosely kid gets any reps at KR and/or PR.  Seems like he has some special athletic ability.

There's some hope we could be decent.

5 to 6 wins likely, 7 wins within reach, anything beyond that is a pipe dream IMO.

6 or 7 is a freaking dream season!   :ksu:

I would EMAWculate all over my keyboard if we win 7 games.  8 wins would probably kill me.

i think 6 and a bowl is pretty realistic and should be the expectation. anything below would be kind of a bummer and anything above would be pretty fantastic. how could you not be excited for upcoming fball? a lot of home games early. good weather. ucla. nrth texas late in the year. texas at home. nebraska on espn. perfect schedule really.

Glad to see this thread.  I couldn't manage to get myself as depressed as everyone seemed to be in the other ones.  I think there are legitimate reasons to be excited for this season (which I'll list later).  Offhand, I'm thinking 7 wins.  My record on predictions is really pretty uncanny, too!

Si, senor.  Pretty much what you said a few posts ago.  Seis es OK, pero no me gusta mucho menos que siete.  Cinco es muy mal!

Hate to throw a wet blanket on this EMAW euphoria.  But you do realize all our games at The Bill (except the cupcake) are all probably losses (UCLA, Neb, OSU, and Texas) leaving our season's hope being pinned on our ability to be road warriors! :crossfingers:  :dunno:  :crossfingers:

I'll enjoy watching CFB on Saturdays and grilling out for maybe one tailgate on a decent fall afternoon.  Other than that I could  :jerk: to FB season.  As long as we beat ku and flirt with success I'm  with the football program.

We play 7 terrible teams next year. I don't think we need to worry about the emotional final game at North Texas (all 79 fans will be in attendance), the wannabe Mormons in Lawrence, or the hippies in Boulder.
