Everything I've heard is that he's doing well.

Will him as SDE and two fat boys in the middle our DL should be in pretty good shape

Dude, we're a very short time removed from a sweet ass elite 8 appearance.  Give it some more time and you'll get excited about football again.  Maybe not as excited as if we were going to be really good, but still excited.

It sounds like we could have a pretty decent to good D-Line.  Sounds like there's plenty of good competition in the secondary as well . . .. but as has been said, LB's are a complete cluster.

With Harold and all of the juco kids we brought it, our DL should be pretty solid.  Least I hope so.  I still think the lbs will end up being okay.  Not great, but okay.  The DBs should be okay.  The OL and WRs should be good and DT is a stud.  We really just need a QB to establish himself and we could be bowling.  I would be very happy with that scenerio.  Now, back to making that kool-aid...

Post by: steve dave on April 15, 2010, 08:42:43 PM
I've heard they don't like to give medical redshirts if you refused to go back into the game in the second half and then blew off practice and even a personal meeting you had set up with the coach to discuss your quitting.  Just what I've heard bros.  No idea if this is relevant to this situation.

I for one hope he gets his head on straight and reports for camp when school starts.  If he does that he can still factor into things by the time conference play starts.  He's a headcase but he's one fo the more talented guys on the team.  Certainly one of the more talented D-lineman we have probably the most talented when he has his mind right.  We have better depth there this year but you still need playmakers and he is a guy that can make some plays.  Even last year when everyone says he was crappy we would  have lost both the Iowa State and UCLA games if not for the fumbles he caused down the stretch in those games.

Quote from:  GPCwallace

Chill about the Twitter thing folks.

Until today, I had no idea about Harold. I composed a Tweet asking followers if they had any questions for players and I repeatedly kept getting questions about him. So, given knowledge provided to me earlier this week from a person extremely close to the situation, I wrote what I thought was true so we could push on from that topic and get to some other ideas for Media Day.

Well guess what? My info and the entire Tweet itself was completely incorrect.

Secondly, since my first "Twitter Fiasco" way back when, I've hardly Tweeted anything regarding KSU sports that couldn't already be found here first.

Friday's Findings, anything regarding recruiting can't be found anywhere else.

So just relax. If I had had any real, legit knowledge that Brandon was either A) 100% on the team or B) 100% off the team - I wouldn't have Tweeted it at all. It would've been posted here as always.

Quote
The Hendricks Award, given annually to college football's top defensive end, has released its watch list.

Here are the Big 12 players that made the cut:

    * Frank Alexander, Oklahoma
    * Brandon Harold, Kansas State
    * Alex Okafor, Texas
    * Jacquies Smith, Missouri

Brian Orakpo of Texas is the only Big 12 player to ever win the award, which began in 2002.

I'm no fan of this watch list, however.

Harold makes it, despite having left his team, skipping summer workouts and currently not practicing. He may not be back.

Okafor and Smith are both more experienced, but likely will not be the best defensive ends on their own team.

Jackson Jeffcoat at Texas and Brad Madison at Missouri would both be better selections, and it feels like they've been snubbed on the list.

What do you think?
