My company's promotional provider has been having issues with Carhartt recently - discontinued items, delayed stock for months etc. And they are looking to change our company store garments from being Carhartt to Berne. Does anyone have an opinion on these two suppliers and the quality of their garments?

Once you go berne you never go back. Only the biggest dicked of outdoorsey blue collar studs wear berne. #choosewisely
-
I would choose neither and instead choose a profession where that doesn't matter.

OK, CoNstruction Science Casey.

Would you say that you owe your soul to the company store?

Your stereotyping is sickening. Just disgusting.

I was born one mornin', it was drizzlin' rain. Fightin' and trouble are my middle name. I was raised in the canebrake by an ol' mama lion. Cain't no-a high-toned woman make me walk the line. Unless of course she is making me choose between Berne and Carhartt. . .then I'm stuck in a quandary.

Unfortunately this is where I am and our engineers have to go into the field sometimes. It is those moments that they feel quite good in their Carhartts. . . .or potentially. . .their Bernes.

I am just burning down your house of lies with the hott fire of my righteousness.

I had never heard of Berne before. :dunno:

Pffft....go with Riggs. If you think "workwear" is beneath you, that tells me you don't get out of town to camp enough. Just tell me how it feels to have sparks from a campfire burn lots of tiny holes in your synthetic Pantagonia $200 jacket.

I only camp in 3stars or above.

I normally hear that from older women. Please don't take offense if you're an older woman, CNS.

Same here.......had to Google them. IYAM their logo is far manlier than Carhartt's lame carmel/vanilla swirl thingy.

I sometimes wish my job required a uniform. No thinking about what to wear. Just buy a bunch of stuff that is exactly the same and always know exactly what you are going to wear. Plus, if something isn't that dirty, just wear it the next day again. Can't do that with biznaz clothes. It's bullshit, man.

That would be pretty fast, because I don't work anywhere near a medical facility, typically. But, I like that idea. If I so much as worked in accounting for a hospital I'd be in scrubs every single day.

Just be like that news anchor that wore the same suit every day for a year and no one noticed. (of course, this assumes you wear a suit). Perhaps the same slacks and dress shirt would work if you changed up the tie every day (assuming you wear a tie).
if the assumptions are wrong, just ignore.

go with Ariat.

I have a nylon shell Carharrt I like a lot. Much preferred over the duck. But alas I'm going to probably have to give it up as one of our clients technically prohibits synthetic clothing and I should probably start complying.

Are they stuck on Berne? I wear a CornerStone by Port Authority (http://www.cornerstoneworkwear.com/cornerstone/CatalogBrowser?id=9832490&swatch=Navy&prodimage=/imglib/catl/2014/f9/CSJ41_navy_model_front_072014.jpg&parentId=317407). Works great for me.
