Q: You were a walk-on at Kansas which surprises many people today that are wowed by what you have been able to accomplish in the NFL. How did that impacted you and maybe motivated you and prepared you for where you are now?
A: I think when anyone makes a choice to walk on and maybe turn down some scholarships at the smaller school, you make the decision to go all in and you work extremely hard to do everything you can to own your skills and become the best athlete that you can.
I think for me it was just doing what the coaches wanted me to do and what they asked me to do. After that is was doing all those things to the best of my ability and just seeing what happened.
Any of this I don’t think I ever imagined that would truly happen. Everyone dreams about it but to really think that it might actually be a reality I think it was far fetched for me.
