I guess it's only a War on Women if it's against the right kind of women.

Partisan politics dehumanizes people in the eyes of many. Republicans are just as guilty.

I mean they are also saying things that get people riled up so they will watch their stupid show. Why people watch that crap is beyond me.

All the liberals I work with were giving each other high fives about this.

I had heard that Bristol had got drunk and into a fight. Wasn't aware that some guy beat her up, though. :sdeek:

All manly women beaters should be castrated with a butter knife.  Mark Levin  had a great rant about this tonight -- media double standard for sure.  Bad mouth Hillary or MOOOOchelle and you willl get fed to the lions.

I'm not saying "War on Women" can't be a viable campaign strategy - I think it quite clearly can - but it can also defintiely be taken too far, to disastrous results. Enter Mark Udall...

http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2014/nov/03/senator-mark-udall-colorado-heckled-millionaire-donor (http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2014/nov/03/senator-mark-udall-colorado-heckled-millionaire-donor)

Quote
Colorado’s senior Democratic senator was reaching the climax of his stump speech when one of his party’s millionaire donors started to heckle him.
...
In a populist, energising speech, Udall mocked the “plutocrat” Koch brothers, who bankrolled TV ads for his Republican rival Cory Gardner, and praised “the clipboard army” who were about to begin knocking on doors.

“I know you can do it. We’re surging. Ignore the polls.”

The crowd cheered and autumn leaves fluttered about the senator like confetti.

Then, finally, came the only reference to policy in Udall’s speech. “And by the way, I’m proud to stand with Colorado’s women,” he said, almost as an aside. “I’m proud to stand for reproductive freedom.”

An angry voice from the crowd jeered: “That’s not the only thing you stand for! Jesus Christ!”

Udall turned to a short, dark man on his left. The senator look genuinely stunned. “I’m sorry?”

“That’s not the only thing you stand for!” The heckler was Leo Beserra, a 73-year-old who made millions on Wall Street and, since the early 1990s, has shared a generous slice of that wealth with Colorado Democrats.

Beserra’s grievance – that the senator’s narrow focus on abortion has backfired – is shared by others in the party, but rarely voiced in public and never in the middle of the candidate’s campaign speech.

I'd be pissed, too, if I donated thousands to a guy who was so inept.

I like how the Dems trot out serial rapist and known misogynist Bill Clinton as the general in defense of the pubs war on women. I also like how the war is about whether the govt should pay for a box of condoms.

The misogyny and abuse of women by a good Prog-Liberal leader is the kind of misogyny and abuse on females that we can ignore . . . repeatedly.

Warmest Regards:
