Psht I refuse to believe we only have an 11% shot at going 7-2 in B12 play.

We've beat Iowa State and Tech and pissed away the Auburn win. I have no idea if we're good or not. No clue up to this point. They can sometimes play defense and the redzone % is shaky.

RZ% (offense) is actually pretty good. 4th in the league in score% and 2nd in TD%. The Auburn game really skewed our view of that, we just had one terrible game.

We need to be much better on special teams, better on offense, and hope our defense continues to be good if we want to win more than 5 games in the league though.

Well, it's a 13% chance at going 7-2 or better. That sounds about right.

so a 42% chance that oklahoma doesn't lose again, but only a 33% chance that kstate loses less than 4? uh yeah, ok.  :flush:

This team really is a bit of a mystery right now.  The best team we have beaten is arguably Texas Tech (hot garbage). But our worst loss is to Auburn (a pretty good team). A real conundrum.

and 5-4 in this league is a good record considering OU, TCU, WVU, Baylor are all on the road. Not one road cupcake other than ISU and that game was a close to a loss as you can get.

It shows a 42.8% chance that K-State loses less than 4.

Schedule has a lot to do with it; we have the 3 toughest teams in the league on the road. And the next toughest team left on the road, with all our easiest games at home. I can see us pulling at least 1 of those road upsets, 2 seems tough, and more than seems really difficult.

Last year this team beat the bad teams they played and lost to the good teams. I think it's reasonable to expect that to happen this year, too.

Well, around my office (well mostly around the water cooler) people are just simply puzzled about the KSU Wildcats.  Some people (Larry from accounting mostly) think the KSU Cats will win at least 6 conference games, but the IT folks (oscar, Samantha, and Aravind) are thinking the road games will be too much and are settling on 5-4.

Losing Travis Green ruined any hope I had to beat good teams on the road.

Our opponents are going deep fellas, and there is nothing we can do to stop them.

I actually think Schellenberg will do fine against the pass, but our run defense will suffer. I think he has experience with run/pass reads and will take good angles because of that in coverage, but the lack of explosiveness to come up and make tackles that Green brings will be what we miss most.

Sorry if this is a little off topic, _Fan, but how bad for the conference would a WVU win over Baylor be this weekend? I love my Mountaineers, and I want them to win either way, but I also realize it would greatly decrease the chance of a Big 12 team making the playoff.

Is Bill one of the better coaches on the road, because to the naked eye it appears so.  :dunno:

I wouldn't be ISU over OSU level bad, but it would be disappointing. It would be nice for a Big 12 team to be in the Final 4.

However, you should be all over WVU winning this thing and rightfully so as a fan. I know when the Cats go to Waco I'm going to want a win as well, but of course 12 will be in the back of my mind too.

False.  Best team we beat was K-State (see Auburn game).

No, Baylor deserves to lose their last game of the year.

I will be extremely disappointed if we go 5-4 in conference. I also think it is highly likely.

5-4 very likely, 6-3 also very likely. Those are the most two likely.

So 1:1000 odds we win out the regular season?  I'll take that in a heartbeat.

I'm curious what the odds of this will be after our win in Norman this Saturday.   :driving:

Don't these people know tcu just lost 80% of their offense for the foreseeable future?  Wait, no they didnt.

Okie State actually has a similar story as ours, they've just been way less impressive in telling it.

Hm...I hadn't really thought about it before, but this team IS a mystery.  Quite a mystery, indeed.  Hopefully today will provide us with 1 or 2 clues about who, or what, this team is and whether or not this team is capable enough to pull off the biggest heist of them all -- by stealing the Dr. Pepper.
