Week 7 B12 predictos:
Texas 17
Oklahoma 28
West Virginia 40
Texas Tech 29
TCU 25
Baylor 28
Oklahoma State 32
Kansas 18

this thing is a known piece of crap. disregard.
-
Scores need obvious work.
-
this thing is a known piece of crap. disregard.
Similar to known piece of crap Batt BcKee of Texas Tech University?
-
Oklahoma State 32
Kansas 18
Although I hate betting on ku, laying 3 TD's with a team looking ahead to TCU who sleepwalks these types of games historically makes very little sense...
-
GTFO SNOWBRAG you're drunk.
-
:cool:
-
The SEC has infiltrated SNOWBRAG.
-
what did you make this on your TI calculator? :lol:
Seriously tho, it would be nice if you would pretend to try to connect your numbers with something. Like what does 0.546 mean for offense? How does it compare to 0.7442? etc. How can you have 4 digits of precision when there are only 128 teams?
-
It would also be fun to do a snowbrag v ChiMERA head to head each week.
-
my name is chingon and i know how to embed things! :blah:

ok, how should we do it? picking winners, picking actual scores, picking vs the spread?

I think the most fair way to do it is simply as it relates to ATS results.
:popcorn:
-
saw SNOWBRAG, thought SNOWCOAT. wtf, this thread smh

I think we can keep it simple, maybe about seven interesting games for the week. KSU game + 2 Big 12 + 4 nat'l games of interest. If KSU is on a bye week then add an additional Big 12 game.
predict scores
-
Because I am a sport I will even let you determine which games.

UCLA 34

i'm going to start a separate thread where we can all place bets on who will be better, snowbrag or chimera.

Can BP weigh in on the games as well. Nobody else. It'll be man vs algorithm vs faulty calculator

yes. chingon's brains vs mocat's TI-73 vs bookie's whatever.

This is a "score predicto" contest/thread.... I'm not gonna just guess at scores. That makes no sense.

Baylor 28
Texas 17
Oklahoma 28
West Virginia 40
Texas Tech 29
Auburn 30
Mississippi State 27
Oregon 33
UCLA 34
Georgia 34
Missouri 29
Florida State 31
Syracuse 22
Highlighted some of the biggest differences between SNOWBRAG and ChiMERA.
TCU 26 Baylor 31
Texas 12 Oklahoma 35
West Virginia 46 Texas Tech 23
Auburn 30 Mississippi State 19
Oregon 33 UCLA 38
Georgia 32 Missouri 20
Florida State 38 Syracuse 20
BONUS (not counted but for fun comparison)
Oklahoma State 35 Kansas 18

They have the spread included in their predictos. You need to weigh in ATS. gE needs a human component.

chignon's brains are a component of a human, no? BP's algorithm needs adjusting tho.

Oklahoma State 35 Kansas 18
If Baylor beats TCU 31-28, who wins? One is correct on spread, the other is closer on points for each team.

Ok... No scores, just ATS winner on these games:
TCU +8
OU -14
WVU -6.5
MSU +3
UCLA +2.5
UGA -3
'Cuse +24.5
Bonus game
ku +21
(Using current lines from my guy)

I would agree to a golf-like scoring system:
how far off the actual spread*(2 if winner is wrong) + (how far off of the total points scored)/2
For example if the real score for the TCU Baylor game is: TCU 28 Baylor 31 then
SNOWBRAG scores: 0 + 6/2 = 3
ChiMERA scores: 2 + 2/1 = 3
This would be a tie. And I am OK with ties happening for games.
add this up for each game and the lowest score wins.

this sounds good
-
the only thing i would add to that:
all snowbrag picks are tighter games than all of chimera'a games. if 1 favorite blows out an underdog, there is no way i can win. if 1 underdog blows out a favorite, there is no way chimera can win.
since we are doing an odd number of games, can we just consider each game a "win" or "loss", instead of adding up the points for the whole week together? whoever takes more games wins the week. :th_twocents:

My weekly cursory review of box score yields more accurate predictions. Consider my hat in the ring.
-
how far off the actual spread*(2 if winner is wrong) + (how far off of the total points scored)/2
1.
TCU 58
Baylor 61
snowbrag = 0 + 66/2 = 33
chimera = 2 + 62/2 = 33
2.
Texas 26
Oklahoma 31
snowbrag = 6 + 12/2 = 12
chimera = 18 + 10/2 = 23
3.
West Virginia 37
Texas Tech 34
snowbrag = 8 + 2/2 = 9
chimera = 20 + 2/2 = 21
4.
Auburn 23
Mississippi State 38
snowbrag = 18*2 + 4/2 = 38
chimera = 26*2 + 12/2 = 58
5.
Oregon 42
UCLA 30
snowbrag = 13*2 + 5/2 = 28.5
chimera = 17*2 + 1/2 = 34.5
6.
Georgia 34
Missouri 0
snowbrag = 29 + 29/2 = 43.5
chimera = 22 + 18/2 = 31
7.
Florida State 38
Syracuse 20
snowbrag = 9 + 5/2 = 11.5
chimera = 0 + 0/2 = 0
-------------------
somebody check these numbers (my TI is on the fritz), but it looks like snowbrag takes Week 7 with a record of 4-2-1 vs chimera. that is despite chimera hitting a hole in 1 in the carrier dome!
-
Looks like SNOWBRAG takes week 7! Congrats! Let's do this week in a new thread (have the current score SNOWBRAG - 1 ChiMERA - 0)

ready when you are partner! you pick the games this week.

Someone has to check mocat's numbers? :headasplode:
-
Hey Gang, MixBerry's Stud Boss Predicto Machine has the KSU 'Cats winning 38-24 this weekend.
And you can take that one to the bank. :driving:
-
how did millertime do?
-
Someone has to check mocat's numbers? :headasplode:
what an astremely mean thing to say
-
how did millertime do?
1.
TCU 58
Baylor 61
snowbrag = 0 + 66/2 = 33
chimera = 2 + 62/2 = 33
millertime = 4*2 + 60/2 = 38
2.
Texas 26
Oklahoma 31
snowbrag = 6 + 12/2 = 12
chimera = 18 + 10/2 = 23
millertime = 15 + 13/2 = 21.5
3.
West Virginia 37
Texas Tech 34
snowbrag = 8 + 2/2 = 9
chimera = 20 + 2/2 = 21
millertime = 14 + 2/2 = 15
4.
Auburn 23
Mississippi State 38
snowbrag = 18*2 + 4/2 = 38
chimera = 26*2 + 12/2 = 58
millertime = 22*2 + 0/2 = 44
5.
Oregon 42
UCLA 30
snowbrag = 13*2 + 5/2 = 28.5
chimera = 17*2 + 1/2 = 34.5
millertime = 10 + 6/2 = 13
6.
Georgia 34
Missouri 0
snowbrag = 29 + 29/2 = 43.5
chimera = 22 + 18/2 = 31
millertime = 26 + 28/2 = 40
7.
Florida State 38
Syracuse 20
snowbrag = 9 + 5/2 = 11.5
chimera = 0 + 0/2 = 0
millertime = 1 + 3/2 = 2.5
-----------------------------------
Not really part of the game, but if you give 1 point to the best score in each game, 2 for next best, and 3 for third best you come out with
1. snowbrag - 12
2. millertime - 14
3. chimera - 15
I gave you each 1 point for the TCU-Baylor game and myself 3
-
i'll be honest when i say i have no idea what any of this means. why don't you three take the week off, get your crap together and then come back with something that is actually marketable.
