Ebola case found in TX today. Supposedly, d00d has not been to Africa! :Wha:
-
Need a travel lock down. Tech should have to challenge us via NCAA '14 on Xbox or something.
-
Ebola don't scare me.
-
#WeAllFromAfrica
-
should've gone with a john cougar mellencamp classic
-
Ebola don't scare me.
That is probably a symptom of Ebola. T's & P's!
-
My genes would never let Ebola get the better of me.
-
Thank heavens for the CDC and big government. Its always there to protect us.
-
Radio guy now said he was in Africa. So, maybe only half of TX gets Ebola now :dunno:
-
Sounds like he isnt even American, we probably shouldnt let any citizen from West Africa in America for awhile.
-
Mexico probably better seal off its northern border just in case.
-
Pres said not to worry about it right around the time he threw all the Intel people under the bus regarding underestimating ISIS/ISIL
-
He was lying about underestimating ISIS IMO.
I guess what I'm saying, is he might be lying about Ebola. I'm not particularly worried about either.
-
That Ebola guy... what an a-hole.
-
You should be very aware of Ebola. Not saying you should be worried about it, but I wouldn't throw caution to the wind the way it appears several people have done already.
Gonna win 'em all!
-
stop sexing corpses, you guys
Gonna win 'em all!
agreed

We shouldn't give two shits about Ebola, because we don't live in a third world country. Such a pud illness. Just hook me up with some saline while I kick back and watch the cats, man.
-
That Ebola guy... what an a-hole.
Spot on. The nerve

He's just smart, guys. There is almost no chance he dies in the USA, almost a 50% chance he dies in Liberia.

You just aren't thinking rationally because you live in Ebola country.

yeah, id probably get back to America as fast as I could, but when I got back I wouldnt try to play it off like I didnt carry a bloodvomit woman dying of Ebola.
-
I should add I would not carry a bloodvomit woman dying of Ebola in the first place, nor would I go to Africa any time soon.
-

I wouldn't go to west Africa, but Tanzania would be stunning.
-
CDC guy says we shouldn't ban travel because teams wouldn't be able to into the infected areas.
Okay, so there would be no special consideration, flights, charters etc. etc. for teams to go into the impacted areas? Ooops, no travel to Liberia on (insert favorite travel website here) because of the ban, I guess we're just SOL. Honestly, you can't help but think that these people want it to get worse with the logic they're spewing forth.
-
Rumblings that the cotton bowl is rebranding to the CDC E-Bowla
-
Thank heavens for the CDC and big government. Its always there to protect us.
Big Obama government I don't trust. I have more belief that I can crap a bull elephant than believe anything from this administration. 10 days ago they said ebola would not get here. Hope we don't see ISIS suicide ebola carrier bombers. A nut carrying the disease blowing up his guts everywhere would be terrible.

I hope that doesn't happen too

American citizens live in a surveillance state, get subjected to full body scans and possibly even cavity searches just to get on an airplane. But we can't ban flights to an area that has a deadly disease going around and is a situation on the doorstep of pandemic status?
-
Let's just hope this disease never makes its way over from Africa. It's even more deadly than Ebola.

-
So, as of this weekend, Omaha has ebola too, thanks to some camera man that got it and was flown here.
Texas is still winning with the no income tax thing, though.

The issue is not all these people coming over on direct flights from Liberia

Yeah, the KC radio was discussing this last week. They had a caller call in and he said that he flew from Liberia to Paris - London(iirc), to Boston at the beginning of last week and not once, on any leg of the trip, was he asked anything about his time in Liberia, where exactly he was, exposure, etc. Just a normal flight.
This is why it will become a problem, imo.

Nebraska to the north. TX to the south. We're screwed. Heard this morning the wife of the sick black man in Texas was complaining about her husband not getting the serum the white workers got. i
I!t is too bad they ran out. Supposedly the adminisration would not fast track devolment of the serum. Agree can"t keep out people from africa.

According to the liberal media, he has received the same but improved experimental drugs.

Hope and pray the new serum works for the TX patient and others.
-
KC radio said that Dallas guy has taken turn for worse today. Also said that they have relocated his GF to a "secure and undisclosed location for intense monitoring". I guess she is one of three ppl that are at highest risk for exposure.
-
BREAKING: Ebola patient Thomas Eric Duncan has died in Dallas, Texas, hospital announces
-
Lucky bastard doesn't have to fight Black Friday crowds
-
Is this Obama's best move as president? Killing this guy so he doesn't spread it to others? :Wha:
-
can we get a texasCats roll call?

So, releasing him from the ED for three days looks dumb now.
-
Pretty shocked his GF hasn't come down with it yet. That said, they have her isolated in an undisclosed location, evidently. :dunno:

It really isn't very contagious. You have to come into contact with bodily fluids to get infected, and you aren't contagious until after you show symptoms.
-
Good news for all the Batt BcKee haters... It's 2 miles from my house now.

How do you and your gf interact after being apart for a while?

Farewell GoE. It's been great.
BREAKING: The City of Frisco confirms a patient exhibiting signs and symptoms of Ebola who had contact with Thomas Eric Duncan came into a Care Now facility today after noon. Paramedics are preparing to transport the patient and are examining clinic staff and facility patrons. There will be a 3:30p press conference regarding the situation.

Normally I would ask a dying man if I can have some of his cool stuff but nah, you can keep it.

Streaming video of the ambulance en-route to the hospital.

Probably just an an attention whore looking for news time. If he really contacted the first guy why didn't he immediately go get checked out.

If she is getting back from Liberia with a fever, I would maintain at least 10 ft of separation at all times.
-
they said on the radio that the three ppl had the highest risk of exposure. A couple that let him stay with them and a homeless person. Then a little bit later, they discussed how the girlfriend was most at risk. So, it sounds like GF is a homeless person. Now, how do you think a homeless GF interacts with boyfriend who has been gone for a while and isn't showing huge symptoms?

The nurse in Spain with Ebola got infected from her dog. Studies from villages in a 2003 ebola outbreak study showed 31% of the dogs were carriers. Dogs don't get sick! God save us from whizzing dogs and canine loaf pinchers.

Do you roll around in or eat/drink dog urine and feces?

I was at a conference today, and took a walk at noon around a park. Some guy with a dog the size of a pony was letting the dog relieve himself all over the place. On the way back around there was a class of kids playing in the same spot.
-
The nurse in spain was in liberia treating missionarys. Her dog wasn't.
-
Got my facts wrong. Madrid specialist were afraid nurse gave ebola to her dog. I don't want to know how. Thet bumped it off, and animal right fanatics went nuts.
-
I have no doubt that in reno county it's very common for kids to play in dog piss
-
I'd just like to thank the radical right for blocking the nomination for America's top Doc. Because if there is one thing we don't need America during a medical crisis, its someone manning the top spot in the office which is supposed to coordinate America's response.
-
Americas Top Doc sounds like a 'Clams all time fav show.
-
Good news, guise. Ebola is here to save America.

Yes, in times of potential pandemic the obvious "look to" is the Surgeon General. :jerk:
I guess the U.S. taxpayers are just paying the acting Surgeon General and the entire staff of that organization to talk about veggies and fruits.
Gotta make sure those libs don't grab those guns though right?
