Title: Coach Weber and Pumpkins
Post by: wabash909 on September 14, 2014, 01:48:40 PM
Just left Dillon's West in Manhattan and saw Coach Weber and his wife picking out pumpkins. Now that is a regular guy relaxing on a Sunday in a college town. Bet you don't see that happening in many college towns.

With that said it brings many things to mind:

1. God bless Coach Snyder and Hartman but don't think we would ever see them picking out pumpkins.
2. Coach Weber's wife runs that hosehold. :-)
3. Would you be picking out pumpkins with your wife 15 minutes before Sunday NFL kickoffs?
4. Lastly I have to admit I was there with my wife but I wasn't pickin out pumpkins.

Sorry thought that was cool and am very pleased with the state of our two major programs and the coaches we have. Just glad I didn't have to see Prince and Asbury at Dillon's.

What a down to Earth guy. The Wild Wildcats should be very happy to have him here!

Illinois is orange, and they kicked this guy to the curb. Sad state of affairs to the east of us.

Gonna win 'em all!

oscar Weber is an average guy. He picks out his own pumpkins.

If that smug POS Prince ever took the time to go pumpkin shopping with his wife like a regular guy he probably would've won 4 Big XII 'ships

Isn't it a little early to be buying pumpkins?

When I was still an undergrad in Manhattan I saw Snyder picking a cantaloupe at Dillon's west. I am 99% sure this was during the Prince era. He caught me ogling him like a creep but in my defense, you kind of have to stare at a head football coach if he's picking up cantaloupes to smell them (this is the proper technique after all, I wouldn't have expected any less from him). Despite my creepiness he still gave me a big warm smile. A nice man.

Meanwhile, as I digress, oscar is probably elbow deep in pumpkin guts. A kind man.

He's probably canning pumpkin pie filling to ship to team families.

New recruiting tool. Send each recruit a fresh pumpkin pie.

I would definitely go pumpkin shopping during NFL games. The only pro sport I follow closely is MLB.

My cousin's wife took an over the shoulder creeper pic of him at Target a few months back.

And I bet oscar uses the insides of the pumpkin to make pies and such, then carves the outside. Probably bakes and eats the seeds too so no part goes to waste, sort of Native American and a bison style

So blessed

Jams out to Abracadabra.  Not the bullshit one by Steve Miller, but the one from the 90's by Sugar Ray!

HPIQ here, you don't want to use a large fibrous pumpkin, intended jack o'lanternery for pumpkin pies.  You want one of these bad boys

Please tell me she wasn't forced to drive because he was emotionally drunk.

I bet he either uses those and make small jack o'lanterns or goes ahead and uses the big ones for his pies anyway. Just not the wasteful sort is our dear coach BWebs
