Title: Yankees Baseball is hurting
Post by: Stevesie60 on September 07, 2014, 03:55:47 PM
They spend on that money and aren't even going to make the playoffs. Jeter Day, The Royals in town (they're Super Bowl) and they can't even score a run.

If Duffy doesn't get hurt, I guarantee they don't score a run this entire series. What an embarrassment to the game of baseball.

They brought in everyone from Michael Jordan to a skywriter to try and get this win against the royals, and they failed like always

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they cut the program all together after Jeter retires.

Just saw that the Yankees are 6 games out of the wild card (behind four teams) with only 13 to play. Their playoff chances aren't looking too good. What a tough way for The Captain to go out  :frown:

Does playing for the 2014 Yankees hurt Derek Jeter's image? After this season I don't see how he makes it into Cooperstown.

I read a few days ago that he's only played one game in which his team had already been eliminated. Pretty remarkable, really.

Also, very #dire2pectful of his teammates to do this to him on his farewell tour.

I don't think their fans really care. Kind of like #KUbball fans when they're done. They're kinda like, "meh", "Just wait till next season" and they turn their cheek to it the rest of the tournament. Then if they see dominate teams playing like Kentucky (which equals the Royals in this case) they root against them because they're super butthurt.

I played basketball against Elarton twice our senior year and he started a brawl in both games. The first game he called our point guard a spic and the second game he elbowed our 12th man in the face when they were down 40 in the fourth quarter.

He's from Lamar, CO which has to be the most :opcat: place west of the Mississippi
