Have we talked about this?
BREAKING: Islamic State, in video titled "A Message to America," beheads American journalist James Wright Foley
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9uK0fXM9MRI&feature=youtu.be
:sdeek:
-
Yea, I'm not watching that.
-
i have no desire to watch anyone beheaded
and you got beat by a minute or two in the mosul tikrit etc thread
-
There are much more important things going on Wacky. A gentle giant beat up a cop and was shot.

Has anybody heard from steve dave lately?
-
And I will say that nothing could be better for ISIS than the US escalating our fight against them. I mean, they're obviously trying to pick a fight, and I hope we don't give them what they want.
-
And the video has already been removed.
-
Was gone less than eleven minutes after you posted the link. :dunno:

Interesting.

It'll resurface.

You friggin sickos
-
You friggin sickos
Not really. I was more interested in the comment section. That thing was barely out for 20 minutes and it already had a 1000 likes. Wtf?!
-
I think ISIS is just saying that death from above is just death all the same.
-
so it was the actual beheading video? or just a news clip about it?
-

If it means protecting Kurdish enclaves than . . . bombs away.

james wright foley
-
I'm not sure what the point of the video was. They were already doing things far worse than beheading an adult male.
-
so it was the actual beheading video? or just a news clip about it?
Yes. He made the dude talk to the camera and then used a knife to finish him. Last shot is his head cut off laying on his back
-
You have to be a seriously disturbed individual to voluntarily watch that sort of thing

lol. no. When I clicked on it, I didn't believe it would be real. It sounded made up. I figured if it was real, it wouldn't be allowed to be shown. It was 3:45 minutes/seconds of a video showing how god awful Obama is and the american talking for 30 seconds at the end. If what you guys are taking away from this is which ppl watched it, then i'm concerned you don't fully understand what's going on over there.

The Britney Spears porn clip on Kazaa was ALWAYS the Russian guy getting his head cut off and NEVER actually a porn with Britney Spears
-
Interesting. I didn't even know that site existed. Seven seems fully aware of it. what kind of sick individual is he? :surprised:
-
Kazaa wasn't a site
(I never watched it all the way through, once I see a knife in a neck, I click off the video, apparently you just sit and enjoy it)
-
The russian guy with the field knife pinned down? :frown:
Was a bad one.
-
i've watched some terrible vids. i don't think i'm seriously disturbed.

Yeah, I was pretty disgusted and was like "WTF?!" and then I started a thread about it. It really shocked me, man! :shakesfist:
-
Take it to the master snuff thread.
Hey Wacky, have you ever listened to the audio of that Wisconsin (or Minnesota or something) guy murdering the two kids who broke into his house? The trial ended in April, I think.

No. :sdeek: How bad is it?! :ohno:
-
it's so weird and creepy
-
When I lived in Garden City, I had to go to Holcomb a lot for coaches shows and friday night games. I would always drive by the "in cold blood" house and it really freaked me out, man!

Not sure how many days he staked out his own house, but he turned off all the lights, parked his car in the back and waited in his basement with a gun and a tarp for who knows how long...
-
So weird.
-
So weird.
I'd be surprised if it's not in the responsible gun owner thread. Guy was found guilty of murder, though, as he should have been.
-
It's amazing how accepting we've become if terrorism. An American gets his head chopped off and we shrug our shoulders. "Meh - the important thing is not to retaliate because that's just what they want." Just another sign of America in decline.
-
Hopefully the vid provides enough information for seal team 6 to locate and rescue the other guy.
-
it's on vimeo now

yeah if only we acted like Reagan who did jack rough ridin' crap when our barracks was bombed. :dubious:
-
I'd be more worried if Americans were shocked by the video.

we're already dropping bombs on their heads. should we key their car, too?
-
The Jonestown audio is the most sickening thing I've ever listened to. I get a lump in my throat just thinking of it.

I think he just wants me to be happier about it, and maybe also send in ground troops.
-
I was thinking about this as I saw it resurface on the news this morning. If you were put in that situation, wouldn't you just run? I mean, I'd rather be shot, then get my head sliced off, right? :dunno: Were his legs handcuffed too?
-

I'm in this camp too. Maybe the promised him a quick death with a sharp sword and he had already come to terms with his situation. Maybe he was drugged or in total mental shock.
-
The thought that this guy is a British citizen is scary. I'm a bit ignorant on the ISIS situation, but from my understanding a lot of them are British and Australian citizens who came over after the Americans left.
What is the proper course of action with ISIS outside of a few rockets? They are mass killing children and villages.

You are the living embodiment of a 'merica in decline.
-
I say just keep dropping bombs on their head to aid the Iraqi and Kurdish forces. Be that by air or ship. We can't save every country. We can only help to tip the scales in favor of lesser of two evils or the good people. Imo

Right? At least give me a clean death - a soldier's death.

The UK has become a training ground for radicals. The radical islamists like to use a perverted "freedom of religion" against leftist countries that blindly offer it.
-

Agreed.
-
Sounds like the UK is overdue for a good bombing. Let's just look up some "Johns" and drone every third one. Send a message.

Crap. What is wrong with me? :curse: Stop giving me hints towards other videos. I think i'm a monster.

Why don't these sick effs just tike a slice with a sword or something? Why do they have to saw it with a knife? :bang:

yes that was great. and every time I get a little tired of ksu-wildcats-bot, I remember that great posts like that never would have happened without ksu's post.
-
And I'm not going to watch that video, but I don't think it makes you a sick person if you do. You should be completely sickened by it, though. Like, I almost threw up watching a mexican cartel video.

It's actually considered a cleaner death. Knife takes a while.

All that gurgling and serration of the trachea and spine.

I have a pretty morbid sense of curiosity when it comes to pics, but I can't do videos like this. Just horrifying.
-
I think fascination with death is natural for us as mortal beings. That said, I have no desire to watch videos such as this. However, I wonder... Do the hostages who appear in such videos consider themselves alive, or are they already dead?
-

About the running thing, I mean, have you ever tried running with your hands clasped behind you back? First of all, you look goddamn silly and secondly its not very efficient. They would have just caught him and put him right back where he was. Secondly, the psychological damage of being held captive by people how are probably going to kill you has to be massive. At that point, he had probably accepted death.
-

from what I've seen, they look like they were ready to go yesterday. Calm as hell and just ready to get it over with. I don't blame them.

As I thought, it must be the strangest thing to have accepted your own death ante facto.
-
Did you guys hear Obama went golfing instead of bombing??? what kind of president does that??? I mean he totally could have remote controlled a drone from the 19th hole at least. Telecommute Mr. President!!!!

IIRC, when Nick Berg was beheaded his kidnappers did the beheading videos several times without actually doing it. They put the bag on his head, started shouting the death to America crap, then just stopped the video. When they actually beheaded him the video was similar to that but they did the final deed after the death to America stuff.

Not sure how the 911 one would work, unless it's like people were jumping out into a cold pool or something.
Or maybe a big plane with a comically large ice bucket hanging from it about to hit the towers?
Not sure this idea will take off
-

The President shouldn't vacation during active combat operations.
I think the United States would then have a ridiculously high mortality/suicide rate among its heads of state.

Yes. He was/is definitely a stud.

So, a Frenchman's life is worth $4.5M, and they were demanding $132M for 1 American? Greedy bastards. They want allah the money.
I know the European governments have denied paying these ransoms, but it seems pretty clear that ransoms are paid and hostages are released. How are these deals brokered? Specifically, how are the funds delivered?
-
Man, ksu-wildcats had a really good idea about making fun of 9/11 earlier in this thread. I mean, some might call that terribly insensitive but I glad he had the guts to take a stand about how much he really wants to do it

As a kid I thought you could just print the $. At 30 you may ask? Same thought process. Just print it. No consequences.

Folley was def a stud. Great looking guy.
-
Yes. He was/is definitely a stud.
The murdered guy?
Yeah. NGAF, not giving up any info, and taking the beheading like a champ. He's not a pussy, that's for sure.
-
He did it exactly the way they made him do it. I mean unless you think he meant all that stuff about his brother. I also don't think they wanted him screaming and crying. They wanted him to clearly say his lines, not blubber them incomprehensibly.
He not only got captured for the second time in his life, but went out entirely on their terms. Stud? I don't know about that. What would William Wallace say?
-
The didn't give up info part got me though. :D
-
Sounds like he had been tortured for awhile and never gave in. I think if anyone of us were in those shoes, we'd be screaming and freaking out. I guess I just view it differently. I get your point tho.
-
If that video wasn't giving in, I don't know what would have been. I'm sure as a result of a great deal of torture and abuse, but still their instructions to the letter in that video. I don't find fault or weakness by any means, but I'm also not going to praise it. He was their meat puppet at the end. Most everyone, if not everyone, would be at some point I imagine.
So I guess the point is not studly, but typical. He ended how you would expect someone to be after all that. Perfectly conditioned to do whatever they wanted him to do.
-

I'd like to think that I'd go out like Marky Mark almost went out in Lone Survivor "eff you, go eff yourselves, go to hell, etc". But I'd be a mess.
-
I'll stick on the stud train. I'll say that he is a stud, was a stud, and went out in a way that would cause the people back home the least amount of pain. He knew he was going to die. He knew how he was going to die. He knew it was going to be broadcast online. He went out as peacefully as he could. I don't think going out being "hard" or resisting the inevitable gives you anything more than "street cred" on message boards. To say that his actions in the video resemble a broken man is dumb.
-
Yeah from all the reports about how he read the script, it doesn't sound like he cracked. I mean you have to be able to read a script and survive for another day. I'm sure he accepted his death on a level and steeled himself to that end, which we saw in the video. From what I've seen (intentionally don't watch those vids now) he sounded like he went out differently than other videos I have seen.
-
If anything, I think Breads posts itt are the only ones that showing the pussification of America. Posting it in a manner that says, "look the guy pussed out, kneeled down, kissed the rings, was their meat puppet, is a giant pansy, BUT I'm sure we all would" is the exact opposite of a backhanded compliment but reveals his lack of belief in bravery and that he himself is a pussy. Given the manner in how he joined here and stuck around, it makes sense.
Started off as lmao you guys have oscar, to omg I'd love to stick around, let me find my niche.
-
I suspect the explanation for Foley's composure and not attempting to run is a lot more simple: the thugs likely told him this was a propaganda video, and as long as he did as they instructed, they'd let him live. He took a chance because it wasn't like he was going to be able to escape by resisting anyway.
I'm just glad this administration is on the case. I hear the Department of Justice plans to investigate criminal charges, just as soon as they wrap things up in Ferguson. http://www.politico.com/story/2014/08/james-foley-investigation-doj-110221.html (http://www.politico.com/story/2014/08/james-foley-investigation-doj-110221.html)
Seems like we probably should have obliterated ISIS from the air as they began their advance into Iraq - not 6 weeks later. But hey, that was only blindingly obvious to most people. Our Dithering Weakling is more "nuanced."
-

Hey dumbass, people like you didn't want to do it in Syria. Its like saying we should stop Ebola once is spreads to Europe.
And dumbass point number two, did you want Obama with the team making raids into Syria to get Foley out?
Final dumbass point you've made the thugs repeated beat and tortured him, especially him because of his family, and the Frenchie reporter said he never broke. There is a difference between random bullshit propaganda videos and them trolling Foley with these false starts in order to make him crumble, which he apparently never did. If you look into any of these stories where people have escaped or have other witness accounts they try to break people with their own mortality. It takes a seriously strong person to put their life on harms way for journalism and never flinch away.

You seem very touchy about this. When they were just in Syria they were Assad's problem. Now they're a much bigger problem. And of course bombing them as they advanced into Iraq wouldn't have helped Foley - I was just pointing that Our Dithering Weakling was once again slow on the draw. What good is all this great new drone technology if you're not going to vaporize a pack of terrorists when they're caravaning down the road in broad daylight? Finally, I wasn't attempting to denigrate Foley in the slightest.

that felix rex post earlier was really good

Agreed, but that horse has left the barn.
Let's lead it to water, ice water, then dump it on the horse. Amirite?
YOU SICK BASTARD!!! :curse:
By the way, one of my horses is missing. :ohno:

Now I know you're just making stuff up to bash Obama. The U.S. has been after them for months. See Obama authorizing a raid to try and get him. See the right refusing to do anything about Syria, back when Obama first wanted action, and how we are seeing the evolution of a problem which could have been mitigated much earlier. How much do you want a president to do? You people hold Obama to these absurd unrealistic standards which no president has ever been held to.

It does look like the same girl. :surprised:

I don't think that looks like the same girl. Similar, but not the same girl.

I love the idea that there's a cadre of crisis actors almost as much as the idea that this cadre is so small that we're just recycling some. "The evidence for the incredibly complex and brilliant plot is this dumbass move right here".

Ok. Now they seem panicked and reckless.

ISIS deserves everything bad that can happen to them.

Horrific, can't imagine what the family is going through.

Who are The Poetry? Is that an expansion team I'm not aware of?
