Title: Heisman
Post by: daBish7 on August 14, 2014, 08:26:05 PM
What are Tyler's chances?  What numbers does he have to hit to be up for it?

Receivers don't get Heisman's.

I won the heisman with Lockett, lots and lots of hard work and you can achieve it

A receiver/returner might have a chance if they are the main reason a team is undefeated. Unlikely for us but possible I guess.

It would take 2k 20tds and at least three returns to get mentioned

As stated above we would have to be undefeated as well

The better question is "what will it take for him not to win it?"  #shoein

Would 36 TDs do it?

No, but he could get drafted as a first rounder.

Over 2.5 TDs per game would get him to NY if we lost 2 or less games.

If he has 2.5 TDs per game, he'll be neck and neck in the voting with Jake.

If he had a bunch of TD's Jake would always be ahead of him because of the bias towards QB's being the focal point of the offense.

Fitzgerald was the last WR to get close... He'll have to do better than that.

I'm reminded of a conversation I had with a buddy of mine right when Jake Waters was signed.  I said, "Waters will win the Heisman, just watch."  I firmly believe this.  After Waters wins the Heisman, he will then crack it in two over his knee and give TLBL the bigger half. :gocho:

1600 yards and 22 TDs?  Cake walk.

Plus, the Heisman isn't reflective of CFB's best performance, its an award for the best player on the best team.  Had you put old Larry on a top 10 team and he'd have won.
