Title: Master of Health Services Administration
Post by: MixBerryCrunch on July 22, 2014, 11:34:07 AM
Just curious if anyone has this degree or knows anyone that does? I'm thinking I'm going to make this my graduate degree choice this coming year since the job outlook is phenomenal and the earning potential is relatively high. Any info or advice is welcome.

Hospitals are where people go to die, do you really want to work at one?

I don't know if they have degrees in this but I know people that work in the field and it seems like a pud job that would pay well enough and have good security

Someone close to me was considering this for her Master's but decided to be a doctor instead.  I think it'd be a nice career if your'e a strategic minded kind of person.

My mom got it about 12ish years ago. She got her rn in the mid eighties, but gravitated towards administration. I think her employer paid for the masters. She's a vp of a fairly large hospital now and makes extremely good money, but I don't think it's as pud as sd says. Maybe depends on department

Which school did she attend? I'm thinking of applying to KU but they only accept around 25 students a year so I'm assuming it's highly competitive.

if you want a guy who works at cerner, go to the kc restaurant thread and PM every other person.

Lol. Thanks, but I still have enough time left on my GI Bill after my bachelors that most of it will be at no cost to me.
