they're one of the most critically acclaimed rock bands ever.  i'm not 100% certain that's what this thread is going for.

Actually wouldn't Beach Boys fit well with the title of the thread? I'm not ashamed to say I enjoy the Beach Boys. A better title would be songs I AM ashamed to admit I like.

Funkytown. 8mp and I got really pak'd one time and I tried to convince him it was the best pop song of all time. I was pretty embarrassed about that the next day, but still not ashamed to say that I enjoy that song when it comes on the radio.

I used to listen to a lot of Rush, and still have to get my fix from time to time.  I remember there used to be a stigma associated with that, as in people loved or hated them. But now in their own way, they're now "cool" and all those musicians and groups talk about how they were influenced by them.

LOL, I remember all my rocker friends used to smirk and laugh at Duran Duran, and my god those guys are good musicians.

Also Flock of Seagulls- Paul Reynolds was/is a really good guitar player.
