Is really rough ridin' good. And you dorks are mad at oscar for losing to them.
-
Ok
-
You dorks!!
-
CASE CLOSED!!!
-
Exceeded expectations with tons of adversity
-
I guess we don't accept losing to other good teams.

That's fine, but to BID for it is really dumb. Wisconsin had Franks # and no one wanted to BID after those losses. So rude!
-
I mean, the gap between us and teams like Kentucky and Lville is stunning. Size, speed, length, strength. It's like we're putting boys up against men. Maybe guard play is mildly comparable. To me, the big difference is the front courts. We have Gip and DJamer. It's startling.
I'm not BID, but we're not even in the same stratosphere.
-
Hope we're considerably upgraded in size next year.

Not exactly apples to apples

I said they were the most underseeded team in the country.

It would take an amazing x and o coach to beat that team, especially if playing them with such a huge talent gap left by the previous coach.

you must feel stupid for overlooking dayton.

very bold to say the #12 BPI team was the most under seeded as an 8 seed

Good question? World?

fanning thinks he's a genius for saying that the preseason #1 is a really good team
-
No, what's hilarious was the BID crowd after K-State lost to Kentucky.
-
What sucks is that people are okay with losing to a good team. Losing should not be okay. Not saying that after every loss it's torches and pitchforks but there are no moral victories.
-
Maybe if we don't lose to Northern Colorado on our home floor, we don't end up having to play an 8 seed like Kentucky in the first round of the tournament. :dunno:
-
Our 4th loss in a row was kentucky's 1st win out of 4 in a row. Hang a banner.

Yes. And Charlotte.
-
Nobody is talking about a moral victory. Geez

Scheduling was an issue, our RPI should of been higher but we played to many super shitty RPI teams.

We lost to them, too.

Moral of the story is don't play outside the US. We would've been a 7 seed or so.

Would have been a ticket straight to North Texas.

Yeah, I mean, good grief.

Okay then, explain yourself more. We should be all Ned Flanders over this loss? How should we feel?

No, but I don't think we need to BID and overreact like dumbasses. They're obviously very good.
-
I must have missed the sincere BID posts.

We're you around this board after the loss?
-
We were going to lose to whoever we played :th_twocents:

i think we beat any other 8/9 seed
-
We've lost 4 straight. If we can keep it up, at some point we'll be able lose to a non-elite team and be justifiably disappointed.
-
Loss @ Oklahoma St., Loss to two sweet sixteen teams, and a final four team to end the season. For a team full of freshman and some crappy frank recruits, I think that's ok, but I like to break things down logically, so who knows?
-
Really all the teams we lost to are good teams in that they all have a quality win against top-half big 12 team K-State.

oscar will have a chance to buy himself some more goodwill next year. The only reason people have ragged on him so hard for the end of this year, is because of the inexcusable loss to LaSalle last year in the tourney. If we would have made it to the Sweet Sixteen or further last year, then the conversation would be MUCH different. Like it or not, oscar wasn't a popular hire, so our fan base is unlikely to look at his failures in a vacuum.

Since we were the first team to lose to Kentucky once they became good, and we played them pretty close, if Kentucky wins the whole thing then we should be declared runner-up.

seems reasonable.

I think Arkansas should just be named national champions no matter what happens. They beat Kentucky twice, and Kentucky at worst is going to be damned close to winning the tournament.
-
We are obviously never going to be a good team like Kentucky, so it's cool to celebrate a loss to them. At least we got to participate, ya know?
-
We didn't lose by double digits or anything. All the people hating on oscar should just shut up.

Kentucky wasn't good then. We laid the blueprint for how to compete with good Kentucky.

Frank  South Carolina
Should they be runner-up?

Nope, that Kentucky sucked.

This year was the 2nd time I expected to lose in the first round of the NCAA tournament (my love of k-state basketball began in 2001).
I wasn't surprised that we lost but was disappointed in how we looked.
oscar has exceeded low expectations in most categories but the NCAA tournament has not been one of those.
I am a reformed Burn it Downer (since we beat KU) but it still makes me jealous when I look at what Larry Brown and Brad Underwood are doing right now.
