Title: Hield in check on the road (again); OU ADV

Just an awful first half. The official shooting wasn't quite as drastic as the late updated ESPN halftime stats, but when you get beat by 20% on TO% and OR% you aren't going to beat anyone. 3rd worst (behind KU and GT) defensive efficiency of the season. Pretty amazing to hold a team to 0 offensive boards in the 2nd half and still get beat on the overall OR% differential.

These games never make me upset though really, getting pounded happens to most teams a couple of times in a 30 game season, but it always makes me more frustrated with lost opportunities like last Saturday.

I didn't think we would get beat down that bad in the first half, but I am not surprised OU won this with ease.   Teams with a week off had played good all year in the Big 12.  OU is a very good offensive team at home. Only hope we had was to make some shots ourselves

Cats were down 17-12 and OU didn't score on 2 straight possessions.  And we didn't score on our 2 either, and then the wheels fell off

OU scored 23 pts in 10 poss.   And KState answered with 3 pts in our next 10 poss.   OU 40-15 and the rest is academic

i'm glad i didn't bet money with anyone because i would've thought our first half PPP was in the <= 0.6 range

The FG shooting was only 45.7% to 39.1% yet the lead was almost 20 at half.
That's because OU took 35 shots and we took 23 shots.  FTAs basicly a push (5 to 4)
That is what happens when you get whooped on TO and OR categories in one half

If we come back and get a win at Tech, no one will care about this blowout loss.  But that may be a BIG if.
