Title: Stan Weber Recap (810 Radio border patrol)
Post by: steve dave on February 07, 2014, 08:25:17 AM
-Jerry Palm has K-State in....but very important game Sat.  Where do you think KSU is at?  Step back a little, and K-State is in very good shape.  They need to go 9-9 and that'll probably do it. They are 1-3 in last four though so need to get back going.  But, given their youth and injuries, they are in good shape.

-TX very good team.  If they lose, not a disaster.  If they lose to KU, not a disaster.  At that point, would just have to pick off a couple of road games.  What's scary is that when losses start piling up, you worry about mental aspect of young team.

-First game at TX...how did they stay so close?  K-State is a good defensive team.  So, many of the things TX does offensively, K-State defends well.  TX not good 3-point shooting team, but their guards can get to rim.  Just did a pretty good job defensively....and spread TX out defensively and scored pretty well.  If you control Ridley (sp?), K-State matches up very well with TX.  Very even teams.

-What is key to win?  MF has to play well.  Can score in different ways.  Only 8 in first meeting.....needs to score 20.  When all said and done, K-State is the home team and has become a very good home team.  K-State has taken care of business at home in Big 12 play under Weber.  K-State needs to continue and think they will.  Crowd needs to be great.

-Whole week to get focused.....a good showing at home will be good enough to beat a great TX team at home.

What does it feel like having to worry about getting in lol ? I just cant rap my brain around that. To me it means you have NO chance of winning  the thing, youre just happy to be there, that's pretty weak ,pretty weak :billdance:  I love it when you guys get all gitty and stuff

he's really mean to us but at the same time his argument is so well thought out that there is no response. he blocks all the exits.  :frown:
