Anybody else planning on entering this? If everyone from here submitted a bracket, I feel like the odds are pretty good that one of us would be :kstategrad: by the time this all plays out (please confirm, mocat).

Anyway, that's the best payout I have found for a perfect bracket, so I plan to save my best one just for this.

what if 9 or 10 of us win. do we have to split the billion or does each get a billion?

Out of the millions of entries, has there ever been a verified perfect bracket in the 64 team bracket era. I seriously doubt it. Otherwise continue with the fantasizing :dubious:

ESPN Radio guys were saying you have better odds of winning power ball three times in a row.
So, there's chance.

Probably a better chance of discovering the correct bracket by developing time travel. :impatient:

Assuming Creighton shoots 40% from 3 range, their odds of making the first 10 consecutive 3's in a game are 9537:1. So like crazy crap happens, man.

Or, to put it another way: "You're just as likely to win Powerball three consecutive times as you are to picking a perfect bracket by flipping a coin," Weimerskirch says.

You won't find me flipping coins with a cool Billion on the line. I plan to rely heavily on the three S's (seeds + stats + science), thanks.

nobody is going to waste their time buying another powerball ticket after they just won the powerball idiots.

They've only played ~2400 games all time, many of those before the 3 ball, so that's more crazy crap, brah!

Well no crap. Expect most non-KSU'ers don't have $500 million laying around in their couch cushions

id be interested to see what the odds change to if you put every #1 and #2 seed through the first (round of 64) round...
-
so... heres a little fun math game.
say you eliminate the top 4 seeds from losing their round of 64 game. push them all through... that's 2^47 (number of games left to choose). you've just increased your odds by 65 thousand.
boom. TTHOTUC just helped you outsmart warren buffet. now all you need is chalk and a one in 1 quintillionth of a chance. youre welcome.
