OU (home)
WV (home)
at Texas
at Isu
T Tech (home)
at WV
We really need to beat OU and at least get 1 of the 2 winnable road games (Tex, WV).
We should be able to take care of WV and Tech at home, and the game in Ames is gonna be pretty tough to win.
This would put us at 6-3 at the halfway mark.... with 3 of the following 4 games being at home (Texas, KU, at BU, TCU)
It would be awesome to win all 3 (OU, at WV, at Tex), but really need to get 2 for sure (OU win prob the most important since its a top 50 win)
For those who are all about the "one game at a time" talking point, that is fine. Im focused and ready for OU. At the same time, I know how important it could be if we get to 6-3 (or better) at the halfway point of the B12 season

Well, so long as he is focused on the next game

I don't think anyone on this board believes in that idea. What we talk about on this board has no effect on the game. And I think OU is top 25 RPI as it stands, so that would be an amazing win for us.
-
i'm just focusing on ou for now. one game at a time.
-
What's the latest on the 'Clones possibly injury situation? That could influence my optimism level quite a bit! Also, that could very well mean we're an Embiid, Wiggins and/or Seldon (sp?) twisted ankle away from a repeat co-championship :ksu: :bball:

Let the downward spiral begin. We're going 2-4 over this span.

Yep, right now OU is at 18. Don't know if they will stay in the top 25 for the rest of the year, but they probably wont be too far outside the top 25 even if they do.
-
ou and wvu are kenpom twins. (kstate is also twinned with them).
-
gonna twin 'em all :bball:
-
In this stretch, I expect to win them all except @isu. 4-2 would be ok.
-
If you guys are seriously thinking about anyone other than OU, then we are totally mumped.
-
I'm still dwelling on the KU game until tomorrow. You know I'm all about OU tomorrow.
-
oscar damn sure took today off so I'm not giving a eff about the next 3 weeks.

This guy may not know much about booze but he's 100% right on the above point. It's okay for blogs to discuss multiple games at once.

Hey everybody, look at this unconfident, defeatist loser.
-
I'll say that we win the home games and lose the roadies. 3-3
-
Here's the thing guys. You might not think looking ahead matters, but you can't be 100% sure of it. As K-Staters we don't know how many players, coaches, etc. read this board or how often. All it takes is just one guy, whether it's Omari, Nino, Coach Lowery or whoever to come in this thread, start thinking of far off games, lose focus on OU, and then BAM, we're toast!
If you're a real Cat fan you're readying for OU and are completely focused. We have a couple of Benedict Arnold's coming to town on Tuesday and that should be the only thing on the fans' and the players' minds!
-
Gonna need a wheelbarrow for all the W's we're going to be piling up the next few weeks. :bigtoke:
-
Team 5-1
We got 1 big one down. Let's take down Huggy and make it 2-0 on Sat.
-
OU is the kind of game tourney teams win. That said, 3-3 over this span and 10-8 overall still seems most likely to me.
-
I'll say that we win the home games and lose the roadies. 3-3

Good call ER
I thought 3 weeks ago we really needed to get 1 of those 2 between Texas/WV or we would be 5-4 and a little worry and doubt would start to creep in.
Our defense has been really good in our 4 conf home wins, so I like our chances to beat Texas. And we better, cause as always we will have our hands full with KU on Monday
-
Hopefully we take full advantage of the week off like ISU did for us. Coming in fresh with a "fix our problems with our extreme talent" mentality.

Well, we need a break. I know for the coaches, we haven't had a day off since Christmas until (Sunday). We gave them all the day off (Sunday). We have to give (the players) another day off also, especially with the quick two games. I don't know if we've hit a wall and we have so many young guys. At home, we seem to have pretty good energy. We made the decision to give them off (Sunday), we'll go light (Monday) with weights and then a hard practice Tuesday, off Wednesday, hopefully you have a good practice Thursday and then prep on Friday for Saturday's game. Then Sunday is a prep day, Monday you're playing and then off next Tuesday. It's just fortunate we're at home for both of these games after being on the road for three of the last four. It's definitely a positive thing.

This could be that defining moment for if you think oscar is a good coach or not. I think I like the Snyder like way he cares about his players. I never saw that with Senor Martin.

Yes, taking some days off will probably define his coaching career more so than his prior results.
Also, very Snyder-like.

Not sure if sarcastic. . .but makes me think of practices before bowl games in the Snyder era being more about "next year"

Take advantage of all the snow cancellations to really put some thought into whether I'm being sarcastic or not.

Good job. Also, T-Y for not spoiling the ending in case ydarg is still working on it.

I want to fight this guy, badly.
-
I dunno, you could talk about the Snyder-like way Bruuce cares for his players, but that doesn't mean he cares for them any more than the Pitbull-like way Senor Martin cares for his players. It's just different.

Wow, I didn't even get to that part of ydarg's post the first few times.
