Delivery guy for Gumby's and Goodcent's. I got lots of beer/weed/titties flashes for tips.

Sometimes people would walk into gumby's, order a pizza for delivery and a ride home. I asked for a 10 dollar tip upfront and it was never a problem. I always thought it was the best idea ever.

It was a good college job, I got to drive around and listen to music. Also, my friends would ride along. And I never made less than a $100 a night in cash.

worked at jimmy johns for like 3 years.  got fired for posting on GPC that michael beasley ordered dijon on his sandwich.

also was there the night the rumor about bill walker breaking a window with a pool ball started and I answered like 5 calls from emaw investigators trying to figure out what happened.

it was fun because I enjoyed my coworkers and my boss...lots of crazy crap.  people passing out on tables, in bathrooms, cops coming, fights breaking out.  made a lot on tips, especially when I would do deliveries.  working late was rough though, and eating all the free sandwiches made me gain a few pounds.

did meet my fiancee through there though so that's a good thing.

really?

yes.  bball team ordered catering before a game.  posted joke thread on gpc about how beasley ordered dijon on his sandwich so clearly our other players should too.  next day manager called me into the store telling me he wanted me to pick up a shift.  went in all dressed ready to work then he ambushed me with a printout from GPC.

manager: DID YOU POST THIS
gfa: yeah
manager: WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT OMG
gfa: idk lol
manager: DO YOU THINK IS FUNNY
gfa: very
manager: YOU ARE FIRED
gfa: lol
manager: GET OUT
gfa: lol
gfa: lol

I got an on-campus job two weeks later that was way better, sat around and got paid to do homework.

Worked at Varney's as a temporary employee to sell/buyback textbooks in the late 90s.  One year they rented out a bar for the annual Christmas party on a Sunday night (Longhorns I think) for their regular staff.  ltrain and ltrain's roomate (also a temp worker) crashed the party, drank a bunch of beer, did some shots and were eventually asked to leave.  No one ever said anything but the next year they moved the Christmas party and put up signs that temporary employees were NOT invited to the Christmas party.

Also, my last semester I kept showing up after they quit scheduling me to see if they'd pay me (they did).  Eventually they gave me real stuff to do so I quit.

Worked at Thread for 3 years. Doing freelance graphic/web design now, but still work closely with the owners (who also own Acme Gift, Dusty Bookshelf, Varsity Donuts/Truck, and a few other shops in Lawrence/Columbia). I did all the graphics for the mac 'n cheese grilled cheese giveaway at the fOOD, but ESPN cut into the game late so they didn't get used. If you use Thread or Varsity's bathrooms you'll see a nice selection of my posters from events throughout the years on display.

Wrong. There's no Jr. GOB is named after his father AND his uncle.

I could be wrong, as I haven't watched the show is a while, but the interwebz reports G.O.B. Jr. and G.O.B. II. Regardless, my point was that it is spelled G.O.B., not Job.
