Oklahoma State:

Quality Wins: vs. Colorado, Memphis, Butler, Louisiana Tech, South Carolina

Bad Losses: None.....

S. Carolina? ok, sure.

Quote
K State's set up is so dumb. The bench is on the same side of the camera so we can't see what the coaches are doing. Annoying.

i mean, i guess.

Quote
The Octagon of BOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Quote
BOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! KState fans are so damn annoying.
Quote
No joke. the are probably the worst ball fans in the big 12.
Quote
    BOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Quote
K-State has the least educated fans in college basketball. Booing whenever something doesn't go their way. Embarrassing for our conference really.
Quote
WTF are they gonna BOO for now?
Quote
I guess it's impossible to foul Smart. They are just reciting Weber's talking points from last year.
Quote
Gawd KState fans are soooooooooo stupid!!!!!!!!

holy crap, i skipped about half the bitching about the boos.

Quote
Well... They're chanting that at Smart. And they're not wrong. He's one of the best in the business.

he gets it.

Quote
this kstate team is full of thugs

Quote
Dumb ass ksu fans booing that assault and battery on Forte. Please.
Quote
Forte is slow to get up and they boo and chant "you got swatted". Stay classy k state

heh

Quote
Of course kstate playing out of thier minds.

Quote
K-State is not good. We're playing like crap.

your face is not good.

Quote
Stupid move Smart. C'mon dude.
Quote
Does he realize he has his 4th foul?
Quote
He is getting cocky this year, needs to be WAY more humble he's gonna cost us games doing this.

Quote
I miss Eddie

good lord.

Quote
Why, oh why, are refs always out to $#$% OSU? In every sport... Always.

FOUL TOTAL OSU 21 KSU 22

Quote
Just once I would like to have an announcers that aren't complete fan girls for the other team. Just call the f'ing game

FAN GIRLS

Quote
Once again osu will lose to an inferior opponent. Kstate isn't good so I can only imagine what will happen vs a good team.

O RLY

Quote
Playing to the level of competition once again.
Quote
We aren't very good apparently.

hmm

Quote
Being an OSU basketball fan has to be one of the most aggravating things on Planet Earth. Constantly underachieving, sloppy play, and missed free throws. Actually, Eddie's teams had tough defense and motivated players.... Our glory years.

Eddie reference again.

Quote
This last minute shot selection is pathetic. That is coaching. So sick of this crap.
Quote
I am in no way a Ford hater but he really needs to work on his in game coaching. There is more to it than drawing up inbound plays.
Quote
Joke. That's on Ford. He has never been able to draw up a last second shot

Quote
Side note: no coach in America has a more punchable face than oscar Weber. What a schmuck.
Quote
I've got two words for you that might change your mind. Scott Drew

Best player in America? Where? What a joke!

Agree 100 percent that it's annoying that the benches are on the camera side.

Wasn't it Huggins who changed this?  Said it was amateur to have benches by the students or something.  In ever understood the rationale, and don't really care either way.

Huggins probably just wanted to be able to drink hard liquor on the sideline in peace without the tv cameras always on him.

Didn't they move the benches after we added those loge things up at the top 5 years back or so?

The story I heard was B12 came up with a rule that benches couldn't be on the side of the Student Section.  They were moved to the other side in the Wooly era or between the Wooly/Huggs, iirc.  Whenever, it was before loge things

It was before that, probably when Huggins came. I think there were complaints about having it in front of the student section

They've been moved twice I think. Originally were where they are now, during Asbury IIRC were moved in front of students, then I think the Big 12 rule forced the move back, sometime around when Huggins came.

Aren't the benches and the cameras on the same side in Cameron Indoor Stadium? And Allen Fieldhouse?  If that placement is acceptable for two of the most storied venues in the sport, maybe OSU needs to shut up and find something else to complain about.

True Story:  Part of the reason that the player seats were moved away from the students is as a direct result of Limestone when he was a student.  He baited a coach's wife into nearly hitting him after a particularly long and nasty back-and-forth....he was riding the opposing coaches all game, like a rough ridin' jockey.....which he did every game, back then.  Formal complaints were made, etc.  He's something of a savant when it comes to trash talking coaches and their families.

Can't speak to Cameron as I believe the rule is only B12.  KU's student section is not behind the benches.  Those are too premium of seats for them to let students have.

I don't understand what your point is.

When you watch a Duke game on TV, you can't see the team benches because they are on the same side as the cameras. Ditto for KU. The OSU fans complaining about the stupid setup in Bramlage apparently never watch basketball on TV because the Bramlage layout is very common, including at two of the most hallowed buildings in the sport.

I was referring to benches and student section.  Misread your post and thought you were referring to the same, not the cameras.

No worries. I had initially read the first post and then skimmed the rest of the thread. I didn't realize how much of the thread was dedicated to the discussion about the relationship between students and the benches. I thought we were still talking about the OSU comments.

An OSU fan complaining about any camera situation is funny considering the camera angles at GIA.

Their hee haw fans boo everything as well if they show up.

Complaining about another fanbase boo'ing at a basketball game is such a pro move.

My thought exactly. The cameras are in the rough ridin' rafters at that place. Like watching a game from the Goodyear blimp cam.

That angle is so bad every shot looks like an optical illusion.  It's horrid.  OSU fans can suck it.

Before the Ford Army gets into the thread, games like this are why Travis Ford doesn't have the full support of the fanbase. They look like world-beaters for a while, then play stupid, sloppy basketball and lose to chumps like Kansas State.

It's one thing to get beat. No one's going to come out and say Eddie didn't lose some he shouldn't have, either. But to lose in that kind of manner, over and over, is BS.

Kansas State's best player was held to six points and was in foul trouble most of the game. And it did not matter.

I loved when benches were on the student side.

Bobby knight had his time out meeting halfway out on the court one time, like 20 feet away, the scrubs had to bring chairs.
