I stopped reading here:

Quote
I get that from a scoring standpoint, but it doesn’t explain the drop in rebounding or continued penchant for picking up silly fouls by setting loose screens and compensating by running into a defender or climbing a guy’s back when he clearly had rebounding position. It really doesn’t explain the dropped shoulders and head staring at the ground each time he came out of the game.

I remember when people were saying this, but I don't remember it actually happening.

Not a lot of opining going on in that article. Basically listing out the questions we've been asking since about the midway point this season. :dunno:

I read it.  It was fine.

There are big questions going into next year.  He listed them out and talked about them.  Anything that we talk about at this point is hypothetical anyway.  I'm not sure what people were expecting. :dunno:

Austin Meek is the best beat writer you have. And he's an actual beat writer, too.

Poorly written.  No insight.  Lousy.

Austin Meek is the best beat writer you have. And he's an actual beat writer, too.

Not only is Meek the best beat writer, he's the best K-State podcaster.  :users:

I saw a 4-year old youtube vid of him swatting weak tot action from 5 foot Colombian point guards.

Pretty sure he's been devoting all his time and energy on the graphics and pics for the CatZone.

Sorry Kitchen but rehashing conventional wisdom isn't beat coverage. This is about what we would expect of a poster here. Add to that the guy is just a hack on the page.
And in the end it's a reporter's job to answer questions rather than just ask them. If he doesn't have access, he is no more than a blogger.

Funny you should accuse him of this considering where he submits his contributions:  (https://goemaw.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.810whb.com%2Fimages%2Fblog_headlogo.gif&hash=3a2018a107a42c9a9fa6a294490f97b9fe3a991e)

He does have access, and he's courtside at every game and in every press conference.

I'm not anti kitchen or anyone else.  I've discussed this with him.  He has zero budget to work with.  Just pointing this out.

Not saying you are.  I don't think many people realize how little support he has from 810.

If our website were to attempt to solicit a press pass from the AD, we'd probably have a larger budget to actually do what he does.

Of course, me having a press pass would be an absolute joke to the world of press-passery.  And I wouldn't be able to drink before games, which is unacceptable.

Press drinks before games all the time.  They don't get wasted, but the regulars mix it up with the oi polloi.
