You know who really should have gone to Harvard? Energy

-
I'm assuming you mean elite athletes with high test shoes
-
You get a chance to go to Harvard, you go, even if you have to rob banks.

For student-athletes? Stanford is better like in every way.

Did you know the average grade at Harvard is an A. Once you get it, its super pud.

yeah, but lots of highly recruited athletes already choose stanford. hardly any choose harvard/yale/princeton. and they really should.

fear of not competing against top athletes
-
fear of not competing against top athletes
that makes sense. but weigh it against the rest of their lives.

you're really bitter about your income. don't blame your school bro.
-
Not much worse than the consolation prize of a free Harvard ed.
Good grief, some of you.
-
Come home Semi :crossfingers:
-
I thought the Ivy league didn't give athletic scholarships. Maybe I am thinking about football only?

I am assuming that, given that harvard has won a couple tourney games in the last several yrs, this has indeed changed

They don't, but just like any other conference from the KCAC to the Patriot League, they have no problem finding money for athletes.
-
harvard has an endowment the size of god, and a few years ago they decided to actually use it. they give almost everyone in the 99% some substantial level of financial aid, and about 20% of their students attend for nothing.
-
Hope they are doing that still in like 9 &11 yrs.

Scholie open Semi.
Just sayin
-
The Ivies have started to use their large endowments to pay for lower income students.
This not so current article http://www.nytimes.com/2011/12/23/sports/financial-aid-changes-game-as-sports-teams-in-ivies-rise.html (http://www.nytimes.com/2011/12/23/sports/financial-aid-changes-game-as-sports-teams-in-ivies-rise.html) makes it sound like a sliding scare from free for those with a family income under $65k to full tuition at $180k. I believe Semi's dad is a physician, so they may not qualify for a grant at all.
-
The Ivies also have bullshit minimum entrance requirements that don't apply to the general student population. IIRC it blocked a Philadelphia public school player from attending Penn not too long ago.
