Great defense, holding the #3 kenpom efficiency offense to 1.02 points per possession, BUT also pretty efficient offense at nearly 1.2 points per possession. Overall a lot nice things going into Big 12 play for this team.
And this guy...

McGruder game winner. Angel to JO oop.

Finally have something to replace the Bill Walker missed dunk on the intro video
-
The TO rate...
That was nearly perfectly executed Bruceketball.
-
Yeah that turnover percentage is tasty. I don't want to alarm anyone, but I might be a seer guys. Will report back after some lotto runs.

@RealBenBoyle: Baylor (No. 6 CU) and #KState (No. 13 Gonzaga) have the top two RPI wins in #Big12 to date.

This was the first game we played this year that had solid flow without a feeling of WTF. D looked good, gip looked smooth, Foster was very boss, shane looked like shane from last yr. We didn't appear to make an abundance of mistakes. We could really do quite well in conf if this game is what we look like rather.than the last dozen or so.
Zags have good guards and a powerful big. A combo I thought we would gave lots of troubs with
We seemed to push for a faster pace. Is this what a week incorporating Jevon does? If so, will rough ridin' take.
Very happy w tonight.
-
Didn't hurt that DJamer TKO'd one of their bigs. I felt like this gonzaga team was very soft though.
-
Gonz was very good first 10 min of the 2nd hf = 10-15 fg and 26 pts in 10 minutes
Rest of the game ---Gonzaga 36 pts in 30 minutes, 40% FG and 11 TOs.
For a bad team.... this was a very good win. 12 months from now.... 24 months from now. look out!!!!

That thread title?

We pushed the ball a few times, but it was actually our lowest possession game of the season. I think better flow came from the lack of turnovers.

On what appeared to be a clean block.
Our bigs (all 2 of them) have improved drastically, as have overall rebounding. Great job staff!
_Fan, what were the metrics typically required for a oscar win (efg/to%/???)? The same metrics apply to this team or is revision warranted? I ask, because 50% efg games don't seem to be the norm this season (maybe with continued improvement will be?)

Yes, it will have to be adjusted. I'll put updated advanced stats up later today and that will give a better picture. Yesterday we had a 14% advantage in TO% and a 4% advantage in OR%, so that was enough to overcome shooting <30% from 3 and getting outshot (eFG%) overall by nearly 6%.

Nino played about 5 minutes at center yesterday... :gocho:

They should of taken the big european on more pick n' rolls. He couldn't defend those to save his life
-
Four turnovers is outrageous, but also I think reflective of Gonzaga's lack of athleticism. Sincerely couldn't see that team finishing in the top five of the Big 12 even with a healthy Gower.

I kept thinking that David Stockton has to be their Will Spradling. Probably pretty divisive amongst their fans.
I haven't looked at stats, but I'm shocked they let him play as much as he does.

i rewatched the game(thanks houcat!) this morning. I don't know how many times Pangos and Stockton got knocked down. Refs rarely called anything.
-
Yeah, but there were some bigs stuff called both ways that has no chance of being called in conf. Evens out.
-
Dat FT%! :Carl:
