If anyone's answer is pre-like 1965 or so, it's a dumb answer. Why? Because Airconditioning.

I grew up without air conditioning. First time living with A/C was in the dorms at KSU.

Would love to see what drugs were being used in the fanning family right before little wacky was brought into the world

I want to live in the Renaissance era so I can do all that goofy crap like joust and eat turkey legs and say things like "thou" or "thy" or "Thine" but not look like a complete doucher doing it.

So are we trying to pick when and where you would be born? If you just take your current circumstances and move them back however many years, none of us would be sailors in Europe. More like indians or cowboys in the middle of the states.
But if you could take some of your current knowledge/size/abilities back to where and whenever, there are pretty much endless possibilities. I mean, you could be a stud football player 60 years ago and then bring the spread attack, west coast offense, and read option to football 40 years ago and basically be better than Bear Bryant at KSU. And be super rich investing in pretty much anything.

Obvious answer is the French Revolution. Probably the most noteworthy event in history(and they knew it at the time) and when the overthrow was complete you got to cut people's heads off for years and years.

1977 NYC

I watched shame last night too.
-
I'm inconvenienced by the smallest first world problems right now..so why in the hell would I want to live in a time without so many modern conveniences?
-
Kinda wish I could have started college back in '98, wacky.
Whichever era that is would have been fun I think.
-
Future. Like 100yrs out or something.
-
1985 KC
-
I probably could have been mlb player in the 1920's.
-
I think it would have been cool to be a part of the greatest generation, granted that is IF you survived WWII. Imagine being a strapping young lad directly after the war? So much opportunity.
Also, screw anything too early, I got sick a decent amount as a kid so any time before antibiotics would have been a terrible time. But now I have a super immune system because of it.. Good thing I made it out alive. Thx modern medicine.

 No, I'm more athletic then what those turds were back then. Plus, my 85 mph fast ball would have looked like a 100 back then.

Same boat here. That being said idk if I would have been able to throw every day.

WWII generation doesn't deserve the "Greatest Generation" tag. They were some racist fucks.

Like, is this concept too difficult for you? All of the past sucked. Don't limit the potential greatness of your threads.

which generation of Americans does?

I don't think you guys understand how awful the food was really even 30 years ago. Meat was just fat and grissle, fruit was soft and rotted milk was rare and usually spoiled. Bread hard. even booze was not filtered. And, every piece of food was generally handled by some gross, filthy peasant with dookie on their hands. Just a gross mess. You have no idea how good our steroids and antibiotics have made our delicious food supply.

Where the hell did your family shop, at IGA or something?

who says there has to be one? I just think a terrible human rights record should disqualify you.

saving the world sort of makes it a wash tho :dunno:

Doesn't change the fact that food right now is better, cleaner and more diverse than ever before.

Humans in general are terrible at Human Rights, no matter the generation.

But it's always getting better. So the greatest generation is probably the kids being born right now because they will invent cool crap and be less likely to put Japanese people in internment camps.

I'd like to live in the 1920's except then I'd have to live in the 1930's right after that.
