Doomsday cache of documents could provide 2 to 3 years worth of news stories. And the "worst is yet to come" says an anonymous us official....How much worse can it get?

happy thanksgiving

it's a slow release. they let a bit out and wait for the government to deny it or say "yes, we are tapping suspects, but not everyone else" and then they release reports showing that the government is doing exactly that. pretty fun journo technique.
and i too hope ed had a happy t-day.

More patriot than traitor. Russia tho?

CNN story yesterday quoting Ed saying he was a spy and had worked overseas for the CIA prior to all this.
-
I'd find it hard to believe the Russians don't have complete access to everything he has. Also, if Russia has it, the Chinese have it.

And?
If China has it, North Korea has it. Now they just have to figure out what it is that they have and then we are mumped.

Seems like a nice little reward for having to sift through endlessly mundane texts and emails.

Seriously?? No, sorry, I honestly would not GAF if the NSA was passing my nude photos around the office without my knowledge.

Yeah, I mean they can see my browsing history. That is much, much more embarrassing.

Well congrats, you're a rough ridin' dumbass.
-
Ya, if someone wants my naked pictures they can just pm me, no need for behind the back stuff
-
I don't think most people realize how rough ridin' boring they are.
-
This is all in response to some drunk bro texting his GF about having The Bomb in his pants or something.
-
does this go here? Maybe not?
So a while back, the CIA was accused of hacking the Senate's computers and changing reports or something like that. They vehemently denied doing so.
Now:

C.I.A. Admits Penetrating Senate Intelligence Computers
Seems like this ties in with Ed's stuff. Needless to say this is all bullshit and needs to be dealt with by more than just creating an Accountability Board. I mean, this seems like prison time crap to me.
-
agree but no one will see any prison
-
Anyone watch Citizenfour on HBO? Pretty good.
-
CNN had an article a week or so ago stating that the NSA had been embedding spyware on all hard drives manufactured by a couple different large manufacturers(forget which ones).
More bullshit. Govt is a rough ridin' joke at this point.
-
Terrorism, tho. :Yikes:
-
Meh
-
Meh
You're supposed to be scared!

its open sourced on archive.org.
also Snowden didn't do anything that important. if you've paid attention you would have known the government has been doing this for decades.
-
Well, I wouldn't call him a Hero like the OP but he's certainly not a traitor and shouldn't be forced to live in exile.
-
He brought a pretty big thing to public view. Hero.

Well he isn't really living in exile. All he has to do is comeback from authoritarian police states to face a legitimate justice system.
He brought a pretty big thing to public view. Hero.
Already well into the public view, people just started to care for 30 seconds. Where are we now? Oh yeah, nothing has really changed.
