Title: Serious Question
Post by: ksu101 on November 27, 2013, 02:53:51 PM
We all remember when oscar thought Micheal Orris was > than Josh Grey, but everyone else knew it was Josh Grey >>>>>>>>>>>> Micheal Orris.  Now Lets say the same thing happened this year and instead of Marcus Foster we got that one kid from Indiana that was originally committed to us. (forgot his name)  What would our record be right now?   My guess is 1-5.

I don't think that was an Etherington vs. Foster scenario.  I think we took Westicles over him.  If I remember right, he decommitted after Westicles went with us.

I wanted Wiggins.  Someone do what our record would be if we got Wiggins instead of Foster.

Serious question, what if Jabari Parker decided to play for us instead of our sister school Duke?

Great question, I mean what IF better or worse recruits than what we currently have came here and our team was composed of different players.  WHAT IF?

He didn't say it was a great question, just that it was a serious question.

Good pt, Pan.  Fundamentally flawed premise.

What do you guys think would happen if Beasley and Walker stayed for four years and Phil Jackson came to be our coach?

If Wooldrige could have gotten Lebron to come to Kansas State, would he still be our coach? Serious question.

You don't fire a NC coach.

Well, it wouldn't be very likely, imo.  I am solidly in the camp that says that LeBron would have Melo'ed up an NC for any school he played for and that KSU wouldn't fire a guy that won an NC within 6 or 7 yrs of doing so.

Hell, he might still be here if he had landed Joseph Jones

I think he might still be here under that scenario, but I think there is no way he is still our coach if he had won a NC with Lebron. Once you taste greatness, you just can't go back to the wrong side of the NIT bubble every year. The fans start to care too much.

ouch. Although I think there would have been some eventual Salinas fallout that would have hurt us somewhat.

True, and I bet Wooly is really enjoying life now as the interim AD at Riverside.

I think so. We are a solidly in the KU - OSU mix with those 2 and Angel.

That said, I don't think there was ever a chance in hell Perry was coming here (he goes to WSU before KSU).

It would be like Marty getting the record book in back to the future 2.  Rolls would have reversed...wonder if KU football would have still sucked, if so, they might have gotten the boot from the Big 12.

I don't think so. The whole deal with CK would have still happened, and receipt-gate also would have happened. Frank was going to leave regardless of what recruits he landed.

As a F4 coach Frank gets better offers and leaves sooner - he gets the Miami job for sure.

Also, I get to party at Club Rio like Cap'n Jack
