Title: The Bitter Truth
Post by: troubledscribe on November 23, 2013, 03:58:03 PM
The truth is, even if Waters sucked or not, we still lose this one. Our defense gave up a billion rushing yards, Truman takes horrible angles, Slaughter is irrelevant, and Shellenburg doesn't come in to blow up the run 1/millionth of the way Zimm does. Sams sits on the bench instead of being utilized to maintain top against the wind. Out-coached and played.

Need a .gif of Shellenberg watching Knight scramble only to turn and run away looking for a receiver to cover.

The whole rough ridin' defense looked like they partied all rough ridin' night, because they weren't into the game.  Did you once see any excitement out of them.  :Yuck:

The only thing noteworthy I saw at the game was -  we sent Moore from the DE spot on a few packages, I havent noticed that before.

Just a complete clownshow on defense yesterday against a very average OU offense.  Shellenburg was embarrassingly bad, third down defense was embarrassingly bad, run defense was the worst it's been all season.

that was outstanding. I don't think I've ever seen that at any level of football.

First game I've attended in person this year, watching on TV I don't pay much attention to the line so it surprised me because I think Moore should be playing more.

If we turn ou on downs that series where knight went out early but they didn't fix the bad call we start at the 40 yards line, drive, score and probably win. That unfavorable call led to us having the ball at the 3 followed by a comedy of bad breaks and errors for our team.

What does it say about your recruiting on that side of the ball when one guy goes out and the defense turns into a clown car show?

Schellenbergersteinwitz is inexcusably bad.

It makes me think we are saving guys for next year. That's what I tell myself anyway.
