Title: Very OT: Broken tailbone question
Post by: GoPowercat.com on November 13, 2013, 04:00:36 PM
I've had a broken tailbone for almost two years and it's recently gotten worse. The flights to Lubbock were the last straw. I underwent a series of shots that offered temporary relief of lessening effect. The doctor mentioned surgery to actually remove my tailbone but I don't know of anyone who has had that surgery. Has anyone had that done? Any other advice?

lose weight, eat better.  Though, there is no way under any medical theory you have had a broken bone for 2 years.

Fitz:  I broke my tailbone as a 17 year old kid.  During my first year in college at the end of the school year it flared up & I had to take my finals standing.  I half stood driving back home & had a long soak in a hot bath with lots of epsom salts.  It finally broke open & I got to the doctor who removed over a cup & half of pus etc from the cyst that had developed.  I have not had any trouble since 1959.

Any recollection as to the amount of pus that your doc had to remove?
