Title: Songs that helped get you through a tough time

Not going through any troubled times personally friends.  But I heard this song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NdDqal8PTw) recently and have been listening to it a more than a few times.

I first heard it while my dad was sick with Lou Gherig's and it really helped me through that time.  My dad was pretty much a stiff upper lip kind of guy so it helped me understand his philosophy a bit.  I always think of him when I hear it and it makes me really proud of how he handled himself. 

I mean it takes a certain kind of person to know that you are Ahab, fighting your whale, but to still forge ahead.

Not exactly uplifting, but it says that death is eventual and certain so be sure to party while you're here.

I remember finding out that Blind Melon had awesome songs not named "No Rain". It was a revelatory experience.

Blind Melon is one of the greatest bands in the history of bands, and "Change" is a very uplifting song. Props to you guys for mentioning.
