Looks like we host Kansas on Thanksgiving weekend. Hopefully that doesn't affect attendance.

Do the concessions people cook more turkey legs or focus on sandwiches and pizza?

I'm already asking my boss to take Friday, Nov. 21st off of work so I can get super pak'd.

Looks like we host Kansas on Thanksgiving weekend. Hopefully that doesn't affect attendance.

I had the understanding that this was going to become an annual event. Look at the other games that weekend. All rivalry games (granted that ISU/WV is a default rivalry)

It will especially student attendance. Dorms don't open until Sunday at 4pm after break.

1. Any students that don't attend the Dillons game = expelled.
2. I like having a December game. College football season is too short as it is and I like just having 1 extra week.

K-State is not the first school to host a football game on Thanksgiving weekend. I'd be curious to see how many of the students who go to the games live in some sort of campus housing - dorms or Greek houses. This has no impact on GDI's.

Home opener, tho.

When you are a top notch major university like Kansas State, THE State University of Kansas, you have students attending from all 50 states, and even some foreign countries. These kids aren't all going to be able to make it to a Saturday game if the dorms aren't even open. Somebody needs to get ahold of Currie and tell him to get those dorms back open on Friday night so we can have a packed house for the Sunflower Showdown. It's hard enough to sell tickets to games against crappy teams as it is.

OSU and @ TCU is a tough back to back game.  Glad we get a bye after TCU.  And the broader stretch of @OU, UT, OSU and @ TCU is kind of a grinder. Overall pretty decent schedule.  The leathal combination of Waters and Sams should give D's a lot to think about on a week in, week out basis.

I still might go, since it is only about a 5 hour drive. I am guessing that we won't be having our big tailgate at this game. Probably will end up going to TCU. The Thursday night WV game makes the confy road schedule pretty lame next year (for traveling), except OU, which I just went to last year.

Emawblast I have faith you can make it back to Morgantown.  It's just a couple days off work to party your face off, cheer the cats to victory, and then take in a couple more football games over the weekend.  Ohio State has a home game that Saturday that wouldnt be bad to attend.

Snyder probably schemed the crap out of that Thurs game by having it the week before Thanksgiving.  He can give the players the holiday off but still get a full week of practice in (even if it is KU). :bill:

The starting conference play at home/road is a weird talking point. Do other fans complain about this or is this one of those weird KSU cultural things?

I just think it's a little baffling that we've started on the road something like 13 out of 17 years since the B12 began. There have been a few years of back to back road games to start too. Winning is easier at home, so I can see why you'd want to start home for a better shot at starting league play 1-0.

That schedule has GameDay written all over it, especially if the Cats can "finish strong" the remainder of this season.

Possible 5-0 heading into @OU <---- decent chance
If Cats can win in Norman, then Home for the CTR <----- better than decent chance!
Iiiiif they can win both of those games, then Home for OSU <-------  :Woot: assuming OSU is good.

 I mean, talk about great!
