I really did. This after previously mentally accepting the loss. In retrospect I kind of wish we hadn't made the big run. Would have been easier y'know?
-
I was thinking the same. Pretty much made it worse since I wrote them off way earlier.
-
No way, dude. I would have been super pissed if we had been uncompetitive for the entire game. Also, I never thought we were going to win after the first few minutes.
-
Popped a blood vessel.
-
Just replay the last minute to understand how slim our chances of winning today actually were.
-
it's funny how if denis and jacob had been playing at even their averages we probably would have won. just goes to show ya how we could of beat butler "even when were not at 100%"

We were ridiculously good for 8 or 9 possesions prior to taking the lead. Really looked amazing.

Exactly. After we made that run at the beginning of the half where we brought it within two points, then Butler made there run and we couldn't get any closer I kept saying , "I can't believe that Butler is going to the Final 4." Then we made the run where we went up by one.....
Then my heart was broken again. :barf:

Exactly how I felt. Everytime I got my hopes up today they got smashed.
-
after how we looked in the first half i never felt good about winning. i was hoping like crazy but i didnt have confidence in the team today. during the xavier game i KNEW we would win but today they just didnt have it.
-
didn't think we'd win, more like, "omg. we may just steal this one"
i was stunned we came back.

Yeah. I about fistpumped my arm out of my socket when they went to the TV timeout after that 3, though.

I had conceded the loss a few minutes before when it was an 8-10 point game, then we put that run on out of no where, it was almost like Butler was letting us do it. But honestly, I wasn't completely convinced, I remember saying "this is playing out almost exactly like the Syracuse game". Then it pretty much did; once we immediately gave up the lead after the Oboard any shred of confidence I had was pretty much gone.

Reading the stats from this game...they kicked our ass and when they turned it over, we'd airball it. Plain and simple.
-
Spiked my wheeled chair at the bar and one wheel went shooting across the floor.
-
At best, I thought we might be able to steal it after that 3, but still didn't think we had much of a shot.
At least Colon fouled the crap out of that guy.
