Cardinals play for World Championships.  The Royals play to get close to the playoffs.

I lived in Columbia for a year... It blew my mind how everyone was a Chiefs/Cards fan and no one cared about the Royals/Rams. Chiefs/Cards Fan reminded me a lot of Huskers/Squawks Fan.

I got drunk on Bourbon st this weekend and was talking to random other sports fans.  Saw some Chiefs fans and they said hi and then mentioned the cardinals.  I went into about a 5 minute tirade on eff the cardinals.  My GF was a little shocked as I usually get along fine with other sports fans.
