Title: Does anyone walk from the stadium to Aggieville or vice versa . . .
Post by: sonofdaxjones on October 09, 2013, 01:57:10 PM
just curious.

I ask, because I used to do it all the time, and never thought it was that bad a walk, but people act like it's an Ironman Triathlon level event.

I lived by Ahern for a year and walked to the stadium from there a few times, also walked to aggieville from my house.  There is a reason I moved to within 2 blocks of aggieville once my lease was up.

i wouldn't say i did it a bunch and/or sought out to do it, but i lived in woodway for a little spell and would find myself sometimes stumbling home from aggieville.

it's a bit of a walk. jardine seems huge, and then the distance from jardine to like, the quad is just ridiculous, but then from there it's not too bad. so i guess if you're asking if i would walk from the quad to aggieville then yes i would

They need those rental bikes like French people use.

OR, rickshaws.  Great way for undergrads to earn extra cash, and stay in shape?

"where to, sir?"

"Kite's, for a delicious hamburger, and step on it!"

One time I had to park all the way at the fire station.  I considered not even going in to the game because of how far it was.

Then after the game as I was walking out my heart just sank because I remembered where I was parked.

Used to walk back to jardine area from the Ville, would cut through campus and sometimes take naps in buildings on campus.

Lost my phone one summer night and couldn't remember what building I slept in the night before. Campus PD found it and when I went to pick it up they said they it was in Anderson Hall, in the 3rd floor bathroom.

TLDR- It can be done but its dangerous if you have been overserved.

Be cheaper if I just went to Cat games.   Cutting drive time by two thirds would save me hotel fees as well.

I was feeling kinda tired at 10 when we were about to go to the bars (pak'd all day), so my canadian friend took an adderall xr and for some reason I couldn't sleep until 7 am, but midnight until about 5 am is just gone.

The walk there is pretty bad because you are all excited to tailgate and just want to be there to

The walk back is similair except there are hundreds of others walking with you and you can pass cars on foot.  Plus beer.
