Not only are we flying to Lawrence, but we are also going to board a plane and fly to one of our five B12 home games...seems fiscally irresponsible, no? That Bobby Dodd award was WELL deserved, you guys.

I think he was attempting to cut and paste something a West Virginian sent him into a discreet talking bad correspondence to someone else, and failed badly.

It's more of an airstrip.

The airport hubris! Never gets old.

Why wouldn't it be. From our athletic offices, K-State drives about 8 minutes and can climb on a jet and connect to anywhere in the world.
From the ku athletic offices you have go out to the car and drive about 55 miles one way to KCI. Lawrence and ku are officially an integral part of fly over country. One of the last times I flew into KCI, Bonnie Ball drove up to pick up a ku women's basketball player, judging by the "warm" welcome Bonnie gave her, I am sure the next hour or so in the car was extremely enjoyable.
What never gets old is how ku people make fun of that.

don't underestimate airports...they are awesome. I flew from Omaha to Topeka today is 28 minutes. So convenient!
