Coming off a ten point loss in Austin (College Station) with TO's in key situations being the reason for defeat, we look to rebound on the road in our second conference game
Taking a look into the crystal ball (KU in '04) it looks as if we keep it within striking distance most of game (ten points or so) but don't make a serious move until deep in the fourth quarter when we tie it up with a long TD to come within a score. OSU responds on the next possesion with a time consuming touchdown drive. Waters comes onto the field, moves us to the 45 only to throw a pick to seal the game for the Cowboys
Cats lose 34-28 ish :frown:

End of 1st half defense was classic 2004.

Well this is spooky. Hope he doesn't have any bad predictions regarding my life.

thank god there is no fuckin election this year

The 2004 defense was quite a bit worse.
Through 5 games gave up .508 points per play and 5.5 yards per play.
This year we're at .336 points per play and 5.0 yards per play.
The schedule had been slightly tougher in 04 (Fresno and OU, decent aTm and KU teams), but not that much tougher.

The '04 team didn't have enough talent to win. This team just refuses to win. We let NDSU have an 8 minute TD drive to finish the game and beat us, while not playing Sams at QB, whose athleticism would have been too much for them to handle. We played one of the worst run defenses in America in Texas and ran Jake Waters against it 18 times with no success. We had the game in Stillwater all but wrapped up, then turn the ball over on 3 straight possessions. It starts with the coaching, and ends with the players having a complete lack of discipline.
