Title: The positives...
Post by: American Standard on September 24, 2013, 06:28:39 PM
1. UT is a conference contender according to Mack Brown. No shame losing to them. Mack wouldn't lie.
2. Snyder inked an extension after last season. Future is bright!

What did I miss?

I thought that was a negative. Unless he isn't allowed to throw.

There are no positives. The team is complete dog crap. I just hope TLBL and Zims can make it out of the season injury free and then go to the NFL next year.

American Standard is a TCU fan that posted on the KSUfans board back when we were supposedly going after Gary Patterson in 2008.  Lots of classic pissing matches back then.  He resurfaced last year when we played TCU in Dallas as Big 12 members.  I could be wrong, but I think he tailgated with Bookie Pimp before that game.

Imo, it's a positive that a significant portion of the ksu fan-base (not just gE.c, from what I've experienced) expected to beat Texas and is really angry that we didn't. I think it shows that 20 years of mostly success has provoked movement from the 'well you should just be happy we aren't losing to Austin Peay anymore' attitude, and there is less likelyhood of the program slipping back to an extended period of sucking with nothing being done to fix it. Obviously there is still a large contingent of ksu fans with the old mentality, but I'm convinced that the collective mind set is moving in the right direction.

This is true.

Speaking from experience, I submit the following.  Consider the logic behind the following conditional statement:

"If a school doesn't support football, then it is good at basketball."

Now that I have your attention, consider the contrapositive of this statement:

"If a school is not good at basketball, then it supports football."

If the first is true, then logically the second is true.  We can see from this simple logic that oscar was hired to secure the resources and enthusiasm necessary to maintain a consistently competitive football program.  This is inarguable.   Don't even think about modus tollens'ing my ass.

No it doesn't.  Also, please regard the bolded part, which I assume you missed before.
