It was a different time, to be sure, but if that happened today I think we would blame Russians or terrorists or whatever and nuke them into oblivion.

Hey 8man, back then the U.S. thought about cooking up a plot to make it look like Cuban Communists hijacked a U.S. airliner, and then use the hijacking as a pretext for the U.S. to invade Cuba.
