Post by: AppleJack on September 15, 2013, 12:09:14 AM
Look, the elephant in the gE room for several years has been everyone's least favorite RM film (LFRMF) and now its time to get it out in the open. Go.

Thank you for finally bringing this up, but to whoever voted Spaceballs, WTF?! I know, I know, this is supposed to be a safe place where we can all speak our minds without fear of recrimination, but are you rough ridin' kidding me? :curse:

My choice, btw, is Little Shop of Horrors, not because of Rick, but because that plant still creeps me out.

The people who picked Space Balls should be punched in the balls.

And I agree that it's easily The Flintstones and with Little Giants being the most adorbs movie of all time.

Gozer the Traveler. He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!

Space Balls is incredibly corny but Moranis is freaking hilarious in it.  "Why don't we take a five minute break?  Smoke em if ya got em."

I did. Way overrated movie. How the hell did it get marketed as a kid's movie? Not really funny, really cheesy with the "never cross the streams!" which turns into "oh my God we need to cross the streams right now so everything will be okay!" Never saw it till I was 24 so that's probably part of it.

I don't think Ghostbusters was ever marketed as a kids movie....and every movie from the 80s is cheesy now, doesn't mean they aren't good.

There was an animated series that was definitely aimed at kids.  I don't think the original necessarily was.

Watched Ghostbusters this weekend and it still holds up as a great satire (possibly unintentional) on pseudo-science. Also Bill Murray.

doesn't mean it was marketed as a kids movie.     It was a family movie that had good promotional tie ins for toys, but being kid "friendly" doesn't make it a kids movie.

Like Marley & Me.   Many think it's a kids movie.   No, it's not a kids movie.
