Title: HCIW Sean Snyder
Post by: Stevesie60 on August 31, 2013, 11:11:09 AM
How surprised would you be if it came out that Sean was basically head coach this game in place of Bill? It would make sense why the special teams were so bad, amongst other, more obvious, coaching deficiencies.

What if Bill's headset last night was just a prop?    :surprised:

How are the special teams bad if we didn't get to use them? not even once except for extra points

How were the special teams bad? How were we going to stop NDSU from essentially keeping the ball out of the hands of our playmakers? Ask them to stop skying punts and kicking off to upbacks? We are essentially talking about one very poor punt and as much as we like to give Sean crap, he isn't the punter anymore it isn't his fault the kid gagged and hit a 30 yard line drive.

did you think kick coverage was good?
they averaged 30 yards per kick return and rambled off about 50 on the punt return

1. I didn't say anything was good.
2. Four kickoffs 2 touchbacks, two returns that averaged 29 yds a 30 yard return and a 28 yard return, NDSU started both drives on their own 30.
3. I already mentioned the punt return, the punt was a low line drive, the coverage had no chance to set up. Sean doesn't punt anymore.

yeah.. didn't say you said it was good.... this argument is pretty dumb either way, special teams aren't why we lost.  kick coverage though is a big concern especially when we play teams with more speed

Yeah, I might redo it.  I got in a hurry with the pen tool and accidentally deleted the ground portion I had meant to save (Yes, I know how to undo/backup).  Consider this one available for other 'shop use.

i don't think so. an average net punt of 39.6 is pretty good and not something to brag about your opponent doing. for example, if a team were averaging 39.6 in net punting it would be 15th in the country in that statistic.

Based upon my initial review of the website, this is open to all ages.  Would you like to attend  the camp held at Olathe Northwest on behalf of goEMAW (all expenses paid)?
I'll go with you Pete
no response from him.  maybe it’s time that we “kick” pete to the curb and send you in his place?

This is both a great and horrible idea. I'm in!

Hmmm.... my first thought is the scene in The Dark Knight where the Joker tells the mob "If you're good at something, never do it for free."
looks like he won't have to in the future

Is this going to be one of those situations where the guy breaks up with the girl and she's bitter about it, so she starts sleeping with the people in his circle to show him how "over him" she is but in the end she's just a used up emotionally unstable special teams football coach who got her way because her father was the president of the school board???

He must try to hire on as an HC at a G5 school unless he's happy being a punting & kicking coach.

I think the pattern is obvious. He took care of the P's and K's at the premier school in the Big XII for years. Then, when we didn't want to make the clearly nepotistic move to promote a protected special teams coach to top dog on campus, he ran off to our nemesis for a year to show us After a season with 0 awesome special teams plays (that went in their favor) he's now moved on to Mulletville where it'll be more of the same. I'm guessing in another year or so he hits up one of the 'new' Big XII schools in an attempt to be all, "See! See! Everybody loves me."

Part of me thinks I should feel sad, but I don't.

yeah he just wants to coach some ball. he probably would have stayed at USC as long as Helton would have him there.
