Rascal Flatts, Bonner Springs, 2005

Fall Out Boy, right smack dab in the middle of their transition from punk to pop. During one of their harder punk songs Pete asked for everyone to make a huge mosh pit, and about 25 of us did. We went absolutely nuts, and all the teenage girls who were there because of their recent pop songs were super pissed about it. Also, me and 7 other people (literally) caught a drum stick all together at one point. I fought the rest of them off and took it home.

I went to Rascal Flatts at the Kansas Coliseum. I enjoyed it.

Nickelback at the Kansas Coliseum circa 2007. It wasn't bad.
I also saw Celine Dion at Sandstone in 1996, The Corrs opened for her, not embarrassed about that though.

Air Supply. Twice.

Have also seen air supply. Pretty great.

My wife and I saw Matchbox 20 and the Goo Goo Dolls earlier this summer. It was a good time.

It's a very subjective question. I don't think anyone has any basis to criticize anybody else's answer.
-
So far panj and mir win, imho.

Smashmouth & Sugar Ray was the most fun I've ever had at a concert and I'd tell that to anyone in the whole world.

I'm pretty sure I saw this combo open for the urge in 1997?

Dan Majerle didn't.

You might expect that I'd be embarrassed to say I really enjoyed seeing Barry Manilow at Radio City Music Hall. But I'm not. He's a helluva entertainer. I will fight you if you don't agree. (I mean, Bill Clinton came out and played sax for one song...)

truth

What would count as a legitimate reply? Like, well, see, this guy who raped my dad and burned my mother alive was once playing his bongos made from the flesh of my sister in the Nazi coffee shop down the road and, you know what? He was pretty good.
-
James Taylor at Starlight.

you technically couldn't reply, because a reply here is an admission that you enjoyed it.
-
i remember going to the pink taco and drinking 2.50 pitchers while some death rock local townie band played. i was in college, drunk and drinking 2.50 pitchers so i technically had a good time. this is about as close as we are going to get here fellas.

the townie death rock bands daris mightve seen during the pink taco era couldve been scully or porphyria. More likely the latter.

Havs must not think that a reply here is an admission. I have no issue with that.

there was a guy named troy that worked at maes in the band. porphyria sounds right but who the hell knows. also, idk if death metal would be the proper term but i mean hey, close enough or whatever.

James Taylor at Starlight.
why would you never admit this?

yeah, the thread is stupid. i mean, if you post in it, then you're admitting it.

Scully was pretty good. Liked them better when they were Puke Weasel. Before that, as you'll relember, they were Dead Hamster Sandwich.
-
Ellrobersonisinnocent posting something here has almost no significance for me. Someone I know personally and repect admitting something might.

Nickelback at the Kansas Coliseum circa 2007. It wasn't bad.
Nickelback at IBA in 2010 for me. You can't argue that they are great live

nope, was not porphyria. I will pull the band troy played bass in out of my ass another day.

also, troy always wore a fury66 shirt so i googled that but no. that was some other way more popular and better band.

Uptown Theater circa 2005. Panic! at the Disco opened for them and I was 1 of 10 people in the crowd that had heard of them.

Jackyl played in the middle of the Ville night of CTR stomping in 98. Everyone there enjoyed everything.
I lived on Bluemont across the street from Aggieville and don't remember this. Not that I would have known what the hell Jackyl was anyway, my roommate would have.

They sound exactly the same as they do on the radio, but the stage is impressive and the pyro show is  :excited: :moreira: When I went they also had a really good opening act. I don't remember who the hell it was all I remember is that it was a rock band that and I knew four of their songs and I didn't even know that band sang those songs.

That actually sounds pretty awesome.

My excuse is I knew the roller rinks owner and we were the only ones there able to get in early and drink beer. Though it was in a back room out of sight.
Three reasons I almost enjoyed the concert, the rest of it was horrible. Got very pak'd, great people watching with all the weirdos there, and got lucky after the concert :fatty:
Not sure how anyone could top this:
At the Riverside, MO roller rink I saw a Robot Chicken tour with hosts Seth Green and Breckin Meyer(both very short) providing commentary before a Gym Class Heros concert.
-
I went to an Idina Menzel concert. I really enjoyed it.

I've been to a couple of concerts I would be embarrassed to admit to but none that I enjoyed. Wasn't a big fan of Chicago when I went to see them at Bramlage in 1989. But a girl from my Sociology class had an extra ticket and I went with her and her friends and had a great time.
-
Styx and Kansas at Ft Riley was probably the weakest concert I've ever been too but it was still badass because STYX
-
I know someone who has been to Weird Al Yankovic, twice.

yeah. it was part of some deal where they played like thirty concerts in twenty days or something ridiculous like that. they broke out the chainsaw and everyone partied.

This stuff could be from all different nights and I've blended it all together, but I remember it as one night - combat juice, getting an MIP walking to aggieville, jackyl, I think breaking my glasses there, Dan Majerle at Lucky's. I could probably figure it out based on the MIP date and that Majerle revolved around a texas game. Also maybe if that Jackyl concert streak is still in a guinness world record book or something.

I've been to weird al as well. If you go drunk, you're guaranteed a good time. If your personality is pud, you'll be miserable.
