Title: wearing ballcaps
Post by: steve dave on June 24, 2013, 03:12:38 PM
I don't do this. never have. seems like a weird thing to do. what's the point? like, keep the sun out of your eyes? why not just wear sunglasses? balding and want to cover that up?
Title: Re: wearing ballcaps
Post by: puniraptor on June 24, 2013, 03:13:51 PM
keeps the sun off your sunglasses (or glasses). also keeps precipitation off your glasses (or sunglasses). also absorbs sweat that could be falling into your eyes.

1. You don't have to comb your hair
2. Keeps sun off head
3. Keeps sweat from dripping in your face
4. George Brett/Bo Jackson/Will Clark/Tim Raines etc. all wore ballcaps and you can be like them. (those guys are wicked cool in case you didn't already know that)

hats are for bald people and scumbags.

and for those of you complaining about having to "do your hair" - get a new haircut losers because the one you have obvs isn't working.

Hats are great for fishing due to above mentioned ability to absorb sweat and keep said sweat from dripping into your eyes.

They also make clip on flashlight thingy's you can put on the bill of your hat when you are catfishing at night  :D

Just bought a 59fifty from Lids the other day and found out my head is right on the border between two fitted sizes (right on the line of 7 1/2 and 7 5/8).  So 7 1/2 is way too tight and would give me a headache after about 30 minutes of wearing, not to mention those stupid crease lines it leaves on my head.  7 5/8 works but it's a bit large and loose so it looks like I'm wearing my big brother's hat.

So yeah, f the fitted hats.   :curse:

Stretch-to-Fit hat.  Been wearing a silver Powercat one for years.  The gray on it has a funky dirty look to it now, which is why I went shopping.  :(

I wear hats on every once in a while.

For games, I especially like hats that are ridiculous and/or kstateo.  If they're not over the top kstateo, i like them very simple with a giant powercat.  I've also been known to wear the KSU "bar hats" or maybe some odd cowboy hats on occasion.

Never fitted ones though.  Never mesh ones either.

Barfsville.

Examples of k-state hats I would wear:

LOVE these first two

Makes me want to wear khakis and a tucked-in blue denim button up long sleeve shirt with a script "K-State" embroidered above the left breast pocket, and then sport this bad boy at a very high trucker-hat like angle on my head.  I believe I have to wear a really thick watch too.  And my cell phone in a large holster on the belt.  Let's go golfing, fellas.

I cannot wear a hat as an accessory. I feel ridiculous and am typically judgmental of guys that wear hats to wear hats.
I used to accessorize occasionally as a youngster with a hat, but ever since I started wearing glasses, which make me look more refined/smart/articulate/sexy, I haven't worn a hat....maybe even once. Partially because glasses and hats look tarded, but also because I can't/wont' flat brim and then the brim hits the glasses. Just doesn't work. Luckily I have hair and it doesn't take much time to make it look good.

glasses and hats are synergistic from a functional standpoint.

I cannot wear a hat as an accessory. I feel ridiculous and am typically judgmental of guys that wear hats to wear hats.

i knew i'd have to turn on felix rex one day (unless he is turning on me).

I like to wear hats ironically sometimes. Mostly because I can't wear forward or backward, I have to wear it sideways when I wear it. Somehow that's the only way it looks natural. So I embraced that I'd have to wear a hat ironically and got a trucker Superman hat and have worn it about 7 times in 10 years.

Left work at 5, was sitting on the couch with a hat at 5:13  :don'tcare:

why on earth would you wear a ball cap indoors

BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE IT, OK!?!

what do you like about it?

I'm very insecure, it puts me in my "safe place". Also, I like to mush Royals fans w/ my Yankees hats

ERII seems very Fred Durst-y

I love wearing hats.  I have a ton.  Most are sports-related but my favorite is this one from Squidbillies.

I wear hats a lot and should wear them more, if my Dermatologist saw how I walked around in the sun without a hat on at times because I am going about the work day, he'll lay the groundwork for an even bigger boat.
