Just think of all the great videos that will be created with people that don't know how to use this stuff properly. It'll spawn a whole line of gifs. ATV accidents, mumped up presentations, remote controlled airplane attacks, etc. Can't wait.

(Mods can we make this the master geek thread?)
Does anyone use IFTTT.com? Just got started using it. My wife and I use my Chase Freedom card for shared expenses, like meals out and groceries. But for July, August, and September there's a 5% kickback for gas. So we're using that card and then we just text the IFTTT number with the tag #gas and it adds a row to a shared Google Drive spreadsheet to keep an easy record of who bought how much gas when. Anyway, don't get wrapped up in this particular recipe, there's a lot of other applications and ideas.
Some others I've seen:
1) If someone tags you in picture on Facebook it automatically downloads to your Dropbox.
2) If you post to Instagram it auto cross posts to Facebook.
3) If it starts raining you get a text.
I'd love one where if your normal route home has an accident or construction you get a text alert but they don't integrate any traffic data.

sounds pretty rough ridin' stupid considering all that stuff exists pretty much seamlessly (other than maybe the facebook to dropbox thing, but WGAF).

Interesting. Have you ever used Google Wallet? Seems similar but redundant to that. I've never used Wallet so I'm not sure how it works.
I hate having a dozen little rewards cards on my keychain. Would be useful if it could take the place of those as well (I think it can).

I don't use Google Wallet with CC because I don't trust NFC security. I've tried it with my Dillions card and it failed, but I think the scanner had an incredibly weak scanner (yes I did turn up the brightness on my phone, no I didn't ask them to use their handhelds to scan). My verdict is still out for promo/loyalty cards until I've used it more.

That card does not look to be using NFC technology, I believe what you're looking at is a magnetic strip that is capable of reorienting itself on the fly, which is pretty badass.

Yeah I was commenting specifically on Google Wallet/NFC. The loyalty program/bar code reader on wallet for cell phone applications is an abysmal failure with a Galaxy S3.
One negative about this all in one card is its limited shelf life. I'm sure depending on use, but only a two year shelf life makes this a limiting factor. I do love the bluetooth link to your mobile though.
